The Carlton, St Kilda, Sydney and Suns games were ones that felt like we were in complete control and would go on and win comfortably. Once we got 17 points up on Geelong, I thought we'd run away with it. Then it all just stops.

If they players can't or don't know how to execute then that is down to the coach/coaching as well.Since 2017 we have been one of the best clubs at controlling the tempo of a game so I'd put that more on the players.
We likely won’t have Nank for a month possibly two depending on the injury and might not have Soldo for a few either with a broken thumb. We ain’t competing without Nank.

*Take the Adelaide loss, you don't lose to that *smile* side period. There Grand Final.
*Leading Carlton by 20 at the 6 min mark of the last qtr,
*The swans loss unbelievable how bad we were in the last 20 mins.
*Geelong up by 17 and we allow them to kick 3 in 7 mins.
*and GC 40 pts up. Shouldve been 60+ at half time.
We should be a game clear on top.
If this game was in the 70's or 80's Hardwick wouldve been sacked.
Not good enough
Get them running 440's all night.
*smile* off the fitness guy..our strength and conditioning bloke is a sack of potatoes.
mental fitness ?its definitely fitness if the boys cant consistently run the games out or fade in the last quarter
*smile* the bed fitness.mental fitness ?
Correct...without emma murray we do not win those three cupsEverybody focuses on physical fitness, but it was mindfulness than really set us apart from all the other clubs.
Do we still have a mindfulness coach in the rooms at half time? Are we still working with universities? Every club can run, but 90% of performance is above the shoulders.
I reckon even Dimma maybe doesn't fully appreciate the extent that our advantage came from mindfulness.
Murray played her part but there were other, arguably more influential factors involved.Correct...without emma murray we do not win those three cups
But we've never done it without George..... ( at least for over 40 years)We did it without Rance, and we've done it with Grigg! But yeah, it does get harder.
Clarkson recognised as one of the greatest ever match day coaches. Can you imagine what he would do to our list trying to pinch a flag with our veterans.
Our first three picks this year for O'Meara, McEvoy, Wingard and Mitchell, and our future first for Crouch and Billy Frampton.
It's harder to accept that our Kids disappear after half time. They don't give us run when we desperately need itits definitely fitness if the boys cant consistently run the games out or fade in the last quarter
It's not "a" loss.By the 3rd quarter, I thought we were showing all the signs of a possible premiership team gearing up for September.
We've looked dangerous and Richmondy against all opposition lately, and we can add Martin, Cotchin, Lynch, Balta, Vlastuin to this team in a light run home. There's a familiar vibe building each week.
Our attack looks better than ever at times, but we're not quite as impenetrable in defence. That last quarter was a timely reminder that defence wins premierships. Tighten up a little and we're moving in a positive direction.
We have all the tools. The attitude is generally good. Just stay the course. What makes this team unique? It's easy to lose sight of certain things after a loss.
possibly,mental fitness ?
We also got Balme. Finally, in a single offseason (2016) we lost Deledio but added Nankervis, Prestia and Caddy via trades. That’s a massive influx of talent for a side that was already finals calibre.
