I’m in dimmas corner every step of the way However I’ll say that how this year unfolds will absolutely answer where the relationship stands and where we go from here . There’s plenty of challenges ahead , let’s see how they’re negotiated and where it leaves us , I think the answer , one way or the other will speak volumes for the decision that needs to be made

So true. At three quarter time in the 1971 GF Hawthorn and St Kilda had one premiership each.

Flags are everything and we have a hell of a GF record - 8-2 in my lifetime. Collingwood is 2-11. Never mind clubs who have had really, really good teams over a four to five year period and come up empty.
Yeah I agree , it’s how often or how many times you come first that everyone remembers,

The rest fades into the background.

Very simplistic take there. footy clubs are complex and our culture is storied and legendary . can't praise it without it also being open to questioning and critiquing . some of us suspect cultural decay. wouldn't be the first organisation to suffer that .

When the rfc interviewed the footy manager he said we are the best club at how we treat women . Our no.1 leader is not an exemplary example of this any longer . When we sing culture it's open for examination.
Who's us?
Plz don't tell me your part of this group?

Dimma has been a great coach and with Brendon and Peggy in support, possibly our best ever?
Still think that after 15 years it is time for him to pack up. Every organisation needs a fresh approach and with Peggy gone and Brendon's position somewhat uncertain, this looks like a good time for Dimma to move on.

Who would replace?
Have for a time thought Fly was the obvious successor. Now it seems he is unavailable.
Next choice would be Luke Hodge. Country boy who may be ready to come back to Melbourne. Outstanding tactician, good communicator Hard-man as a player. Well respected. Brought up a Tiger.
Also like Sheds and Grigg, although like Hodge, both have little experience as a coach. This does matter of course, but not enough to shut any of these down, given their knowledge of our club, our immediate history, and their history(s) in football.

First choice would be Luke Hodge, with maybe another former player Daniel Jackson, also recruited as a senior administrator.
