Dimma needs better support in the coaching department but is not going to get it from the current crop and unless the club get real and not live on past glories. We haven't got the likes of Caracella, Leppa etc and McRae working on our kids at VFL, all of whom were both great coaches but equally great man managers but there has to be some out there who can bolster our coaching staff before we all turn on Dimma and blame him for everything

I don't think anyone could work out why. You need a big bodied lad rucking and not a kid who weighs 75kgs soaking wet (Grimes description) and for me the obvious choice would have been Miller who is a big bodied lad who was trailed as a ruck last year and slot Gibcus back into defence.

Correct.

People are jumping at shadows. Yes there are some discipline issues that are on the coach, but if the players were throwing in the towel and we were getting soundly beaten the "Move Dimma on" brigade would have a point. But that's not happening.

It is clear the players are playing for him.

We have some personnel issues in our ruck/midfield that combined with a poor run finishing in front of goal is costing us some close games.

Like Spook says that is why we are losing. Not the coaching.

If you keep blowing leads through players panicking and forgetting team rules, or you can't beat the second worst team in the comp then theres a coaching problem.

Dimma keeps saying "we'll learn from this" but we don't.

That's a coaching problem.

As mentioned playing Gibcus fwd was a *smile* decision.
For a young kid who was tracking beautifully down back he now looks rattled and confused.
Just play the kid where he belongs ffs.

interesting question. Was it 1984 under Sproule? we lost every close game. We'd either flog the opposition, get flogged, or lose a close one. Strange year.

I think I have read that he doesn’t want to go through a rebuild. Maybe he is going through the motions, as some of the players seem to be doing, for the huge pay check he is getting. Don’t think he pulls the pin on such big bikkies.
