Gillespie & Gilchrist digging in. Only 36 to get to avoid follow on.
Banglans reknowned for folding in second innings, probabaly get rolled for about 90.
Still wouldn't want to chase 280 in last dig.
Agree,Bangies should celebate not batting last on this dirt patch.

Re: Cricket

LUNCH Day 3 - Just about to pass the follow on figure, so it looks like we bat will last regardless...

7/226 Gilly 104 n.o. & Dizzy 24 n.o.

Only 201 runs to go, and three wickets in hand :-\ (81 overs - new ball due)

Re: Cricket

Match evenly poised with Bangies slight edge.Regardless of the result they have done well.Their skipper was sloppy getting run out that wasn't necessary & they were batting too slow but overall they have done a great job.

Re: Cricket

BANGLANS 282 in front at stumps, 5 wickets in hand. Fairly long tail, imagine Aussies would be hoping to wrap up with lead under 300. Though in recent times, Australia have struggled to bowl out the tail. South Africa held them up a couple of times, and so did the Poms in the Ashes.

Re: Cricket

Helps that they've got the best cricket coach in the world.

And he couldn't even get the gig for the Victorian team. ::)

And the funniest part is that the Indians went for Greg Chappell. :rofl

Re: Cricket

The Bangers all out for 148

The Aussies need 307 to win

Re: Cricket

Not a easy chase at all. They have gave themselves a chance but still going to be hard.

Re: Cricket

Will the pitch hold up long enough to be able to post such a score though? :-\

Good question Zips.Batting on this pitch could prove difficult particularly when the ball keeps low

Re: Cricket

Aussies finally ose their 2nd wicket ow 2/173.From here you would think they would sail to a comfortable victory.

mmmm...maybe not so quick there mb. Aussies now 210 -4 with Gilly and ponting in now just before stumps. Could be a interesting first session tomorrow with the pitch playing tricks......
