Outrageous accusations from the Indians.
Kohli has shown dissent numerous times in matches. He showed dissent when out in the first test (i think it was the first test when lbw). He is a fierce competitor but seems immune to proper discipline. It's a joke really. He needs to be brought into line.

Outrageous accusations from the Indians.
His appeal in India will skyrocket. Dodgy racist SA's trying to cheat the Indians out of a victory. A whole country against 11. He'll be an even bigger hero at home now.

I hope they investigate it and he gets punished to the full extent. They'll probably refuse to tour there and go back to not allowing DRS in any of their matches..

Somebody shoot Mark Waugh. It’s definitely gonna snow on Mount Wellington. Ffs.

Been a total over reactor to everything and anything this whole test series. Bloke is unbearable.

They won’t punish him or any Indian. The BCCI owns the ICC.

Its going to be interesting to see if they get the same movement.

This is a very "English" wicket and there is a reason why most English bowlers bowl between 125 and 135 km/ hr and thats because you bowl that much quicker in English conditions and you get much lower amounts of movement in the air particularly but also off the wicket. Robinson at his high 120's getting the most movement so far, so interesting to see if at 140 they still get the same movement or whether it plays a bit straighter.

Looking at the pitch, it does look perfect for Boland, not sure about someone like Starc on this wicket. Green may also be a weapon on this wicket.
Cannot believe they haven't included Anderson ahead of Woakes on this pitch. He was going well last test even if not so many wickets. Unless injured, really surprising not to include here in final Ashes test.

Even applies more now Robinson seems injured/unfit again after half a day's play. Andersen is tough and resilient by contrast.

One thing the English will take out of this, is that Woakes should NEVER EVER be seen again in an England test shirt.

Indians trying to deflect attention from their poor batting this series. Both teams batting weak, similar to this Ashes series, but Indian output has markedly deteriorated since the 1st test. They're under the pump.

Travis Head batting well, but still likes to waft outside off stump.

Big chance for Cam Green as well.
Yes, will probably always be his weakness (and ditto Harris) but I like the way he is a natural stroke-player and employs the bat as often as possible. Rather than making a show of 'dramatic' leaves.
His attack along with Marnus, changed the whole trend of the game. He won't leave you guessing about his intentions.

[Commentary now by Copeland/Atherton just saying/showing this too. He is about to become leading run-maker in series with 3 more]

Haven't been able to watch this series but what have the wickets been like - greentops to start tests? Does that explain limited batting successes?

Not green tops but pitches with good bounce suiting the hosts largely pace attack. Bumrah, Shami & co. enjoying the conditions too. Indian batting very undisciplined. Too much white ball cricket perhaps ?

Good viewing. Low scoring but not dull. South Africans appear to have a find in beanpole left arm quick Janzen, who's grown into the series, along with Petersen.

Labuschagne's dismissal peak hilarity
Just ridiculous. Weird for statistically 'the leading world batsman'. Really liked the aggressive counter-attack he led with Head with nearly every shot a 4. But walking right across your off-stump prior to the ball being bowled every ball is bound to be unraveled at Test level with bowlers as experienced as Broad. T20 only tactic.

Embarrassing dismissal but better to see him attacking with his bat again rather all the histrionic leaves.

3-12 off 9.5 overs
2-192 off 39 overs since (and you could say both wickets were very lucky for England)

Top innings from Head but really odd to throw it away immediately after when he was right on top ... mostly.

Quality application, controlled innings from Green for half-century. Time for Carey to really step up.

Well the green top has settled down quickly..must have been sweaty under the covers.
Aussies should have sent in the tail before Smith .
Looks like it will now be a high scoring game and the grass should prevent it breaking up.
Aussies will need 300 plus. Green looks very good finally..what a handy player.
Root will have a lot of bowling to do.

Clearly these last two tests should have been played in the sporting capital of Australia (arguably world?) as mooted at the time. All this unreliable and wet weather and rain delays is going to cost us a 5-0 Pyrrhic Ashes victory.

In Melbourne, we make sure it hardly rains at all during playing hours. :D:D
