Cricket

Pretty sure they'll be playing hit n giggle T20 on another channel. Give me a test match any day.
Who cares about T20. Irrelevant. Still a boring TEST MATCH up to now. Last few overs entertaining at least. Thanks Starc.

No wonder the ground has been half empty the last 2 days.

Even bogan mamma had fallen asleep. Commentators calling it slow too.

Morphed into T20 as the lights came on. Stick to day tests thanks. 2:30pm is too long to wait.

If Butler takes the ball cleanly in his gloves - the batsman hasn’t hit it
If there is bat to ball - it either goes high or wide - or Butler misses it

Edit 2 mins later
Bugger - Butler caught one

Well, at “lunch” Anderson said they’d be happy to keep them under 450 (wtf) so I guess they’re unhappy now.

Note: I must say the English fielding has undoubtedly been entertaining the last 2 days.

Never done one but I've never met a sportsperson that likes night anything.

If you're not wrapping up play until 10pm then by the time you warm down and recover, clear media and drug testing requirements, replenish fuel and hydrate then it is a late night getting to bed and often an ordinary sleep because you're hyped or pissing all night or icing injuries etc....

Footy players hate night games and cricketers certainly hated day night one dayers but at least after those you get days off, so the test would be even worse.
Yeah. I imagine the timing of things, routines etc would be weird.

I remember reading an article where Brent Harvey said that playing Friday night games meant leaving the Norf headquarters at Arden street at 12.30-1.00am most games. Home at 1.00am-1.30am.

Burns doesn’t just look like a goose

He can't keep his place at the MCG surely. I just don't see what he adds to the England side personally. He's an awkward looking bat, he's not young (he's 31). I'd rather we give Zak Crawley another crack, at least he's young and can learn.

Even worse these days because the game starts later and they tend to do more in recovery now the clubs have facilities. Can easily be 2 or 3 in the morning before the last guy is out of the pool and then you might want them icing something every 15 minutes for several hours.

In the old days a lot of the Aussie guys used to like to pop a couple of caffeine tablets before they batted, generally the over the counter stuff truckies use like No Doz and the like. If you batted second in a one dayer then a lot of guys would be buzzing. That used to be counteracted with a few beers to help them sleep but once that was frowned upon a lot of guys just couldn't sleep at all until the next day.
Yes, I imagine so.

With the heart rate still up, it must be hard to sleep.

Nesser looks like he's just come down from the high country. Get him on, he won't have any trouble rounding up these Pommie Brumbies.:p

Serves Hameed right. That’s what you get for wearing a wool knit pull over when it’s 31.4 degrees.
