Cotchin and Riewoldt

Whilst it would be great to farewell these two doyens of our club on our terms, look at how Buddy's career ended without a farewell.

Richo, Rance also ended without a farewell. If it happens with whatever plans they put in place, great. But if it doesn't, we still got to share some amazing times with them and we'll just have to accept what will be, will be.
Richo retired at end of 2009 but had a send off pre-game 2010 R1 v Cartoon. Warm humid night I still remember.

Yeah. As good as it was to stand and clap the great man as he walked around the boundary I would have much preferred to stand and clap him as he was hoisted on his teammates shoulders after a game.

There are send offs and then there are send offs

I’ve tried to block that night and most of the other times we played Carlton in that time from my memory. Cheering Richo into retirement was the only good bit about it.

Richo was out for the 2009 season after just 6 games and like Buddy wasn't able to play a final game. Sad, but at least the club did something formal enough to say goodbye. Dimma's 1st game too.

We got done by Cartoon in Dimma's 1st game and I was sweating like a pig at PRE. Humid night couldn't sleep. Just drank water at the game.

Wonder if the dreaded press conferences (for these 2) are a step closer now that Finals appear shot.

As difficult as it is to say let alone accept, it's time for these greatest of champions to make retirement announcements and ride the final wave of their respectively brilliant careers.
Numbers 8 and 9 should be kept under wraps for a few seasons before being handed out again.

That’s a massive mistake for both boys and the club. Would hate to see them end their careers in the twos. I would equally hate to see them gifted games because of who they are or be forced into retirement pre the mid season draft.

I can’t see an upside to this. Would much prefer they leave now and let the club move on with developing their replacements.

Some strange decisions being made by the club which makes me question if they will choose the right person to coach our team?

We don't know that its true yet. Let's wait until it's official. Then we can unload on the club.

They won’t be in the twos

But we will be on the bottom (if true)

Agree.

Should free up the cap.
Reckon they'll be on 100k each.
Geez, Jackmond really doesn't want Thunder Thighs Cat to go past him!
To benefit from Lynchmob's return?
Twin Towers restored.
Also gets him to 350.
Wow.
Must be managed minutes.
Maybe no interstate trips.
Wow.
Also Mini a lock now?
