Coronavirus

It is reasonable to debate whether we should prioritise ourselves or ship vaccines to countries where there are bigger problems. But, if we had taken Pfizer up on their vaccine offer 12 months ago, we would have plenty to go around and would be producing our own AZ supplies and would have enough to help out other countries.

At the moment this is not really a question at all as we have f*** all vaccines as you can see by the vaccine numbers. 19,273 vaccines administered in Victoria yesterday, this will take years.

It’s a zero sum game. Any vaccine Australia got earlier meant someone else misses out.

it’s either self interest or global triage.

you can’t have both. You can pick a slower rollout and help others or no rollout and help others or fast rollout.

socialism is the wrong word. You minimise global death or you don’t. Argument is a little simplistic but it’s basically this.

if sco mo got the Pfizer someone else wouldn’t have.

3 removalists from Sydney who knew they were positive with COVID but still travelled to NSW central west region have been charged by police. Sydney people hey?

Geez the world is full of vacuous selfish arseholes.

Maybe the nsw authorities will name them, or are these 3 different removalists from the ones that started the Victorian lockdown?

They reckon Pfiiiiiizer #2 knocks you around. Can confirm.
I had mild chills / fever symptoms 12- 24 hours after and got pretty tired. Fine the following day. Everyone is different but for people I spoke to seems common.

Always thought Sydney had a inherently individual vibe and lacked a sense of community. Can’t stand the place. Give me any other city.

This response to lockdown proves it.

There was a nice little quote in The Age this morning, from their social media feeds presumably:

The problem with letting it rip is that you have to be prepared to be one of the dead.

Well put.
