Coronavirus

So the containment phase has failed and is failing all over the planet now.

Now its onto the delay phase - many many people will get it so it's delaying the progress enough so that health systems have a chance to cope.

Reckon maybe the whole planet should get together for one of those big group hug social justice or eradicating evil days n then let the Coroner sort out the wheat from the chaff. Might solve a whole shitload of planetary problem in one fell swoop.

On here? I don't think so. We either fall into the Lee/Antman side which is "this is serious, *smile* is getting real, act now" or the TM "its all overblown nonsense butif it happens it happens and I'll just drink my hot toddies" side.

If things get much worse I might jump over to TMs side though.

Company I'm consulting with now in Jakarta (big multinational) is shutting the gate. All non-essential travel off. I had a trip to Perth next week canned. Spewing.

They are talking about working from home mode in a week or two for the whole building. Contractors like me will get the flick if things get worse.

Good times eh.

Seriously, no mass gatherings of 500+ "from Monday", like the virus takes the weekend off. Scotty from Marketing is encouraging people to go to the footy this weekend. He is a dangerously incompetent, criminally corrupt, wilfully ignorant fuc.kwit. The evidence is overwhelming.

He'd be more likely to surround himself with competent people rather than the pathetic yes-men and family favourites like Kushner that Trump favours.

Just in, The Fascist Potato has tested positive to coronavirus. No mention of whether he'll be quarantined on Christmas Island, but hopefully Scotty and the full Cabinet go give him a big group hug.
