Coronavirus

Half your luck.

All my in-laws are meticulously covid safe.
Just tell em you've caught it n they won't come near ya until about July next year at the earliest. Gives ya plenty of time to breathe in the serenity.

Then after the next variant arrives it will be two months for boosters n then the variant after that it will be a monthly update on the boosters n after that it will be daily boosters just in case you're even thinking about catching something.

Just gotta love ever decreasing circles driven by hysteria.
But you made sure you got your Covid shots. You even make sure you get your yearly flu shot.

So why? ... If you're advocating to go unvacced and let it rip? Really not sure what you are on about except a lot of whining and moaning ... along with taking all precautions.

A trip to Lourdes for everyone instead? So is everyone doing the right thing taking precautions hysterical ... except you? Who always even gets flu shots?

The way they're going on about every single variant of the virus, we might all need a trip to Lourdes, socially distanced of course so back of the line might die of old age before they get a sip n dip.

It's taken all of about two weeks to go from getting a booster in six months, to getting a booster in five months, no wait we'll do the booster in four months, but maybe we'll rush it to three. For a variant that to all indications is far milder n less harmful than the previous variants.
So what's the panic n rush all about????? For all the hype n carry on every 30 seconds nearly all the harm from covid is still restricted to the very old n frail or those with co morbidity, lots of underlying poor health issues.
Actually probably wouldn't be such a bad idea to let a milder variant rip through n build up general " herd immunity ". No one will ever admit to allowing it to happen as there'd be half a billion law suits lodged.

Never, ever advocated anyone going unvaxxed. Been vaxxed for the usual *smile* since I was a kid, Whooping, Diptheria, Measels, Tetanus whatever was required.
Only started getting flu shots when I hit 60 n realised I was becoming an old fart n entering the higher risk category. It's simply common sense.

TM the strategy you espouse is pretty much what we are doing but in a controlled way so as to not overload the hospital system. When school starts again almost everyone will get it.

I don’t think we have the data yet to say whether omicron is more or less severe as it’s coming into a largely vaccinated community.

Had my 3rd jab 2 days ago (Moderna) & have had a bigger reaction to it than the first two doses of AZ. Rolling chills & night sweats. I guess that means my immune system is working but it hasn't been much fun. Still better than getting covid.

Sorry to hear this ToO. Most side effects go away within 2 or 3 days apparently. I hope this means you’ll be back to normal soon and it doesn’t spoil Xmas celebrations for you.

You sure it wasn’t the 12 cans of beer as much as the Moderna ?

We have given up. Our motto is if you can't hit targets... Lower them!

This is where we need leadership from Scomo but as always its all quiet on the Western front. We need to get past this, state vs state mentality and have all of us in this together, and therefore PCR tests before travel interstate need to be removed.

I feel it's a bit rich to ask the other states to join hand in hand with NSW after they have shown no effort and consistently undermined the health and well-being of our entire country with their policy and lack of action.

All the under the tender watch of Scomo himself with the only objective of keeping his electorate.

But we are in this mess now and holding s grudge isn't going to help or be constructive.
