Because I reckon that Dimma is walking the line between this year and next.

No doubt he wants to play finals this year, but I don't think Connors will be the difference between us getting there and not. If Dimma didn't want the guy next year, I think he'd be sticking with O'Hanlon and the other kids and taking the chance.

You say that but Connors was a big reason we got up against GWS.
So long as he's performing (and keeping out of trouble) only a fool coach wouldn't utilise his skill set this season with finals in mind.
However I don't think Dimma will cut him much slack if the performances drop off and others will quickly gain the opportunity.

If Connors knows then I reckon other players would know.

Given his record of slackness. Connors doesn't seem to be playing like a player who knows his time is up - even if he's looking to move to another club.

If Connors doesn't know he's 100 % gone, i don't see how another player would.

He has to do everything right and then some. And he knows it. More gone than not, but not gone yet.

And that’s how it should be. He has the talent to make it but you can easily draft a replacement without the issues.

Maybe he has 17 on his back.

If Chris Newman was commenting to some random about the future of a player under his captaincy then I would be exceedingly disappointed in him. That's not an act of a professional responsible person. You keep that stuff internal, just in case the random can't control himself and blurts it out on the internet.

Looked slow. In a foot-race early in the last had a 3m start and was beaten by 2/3 over 20m. Noticed this a few times, is a worry.

Certainly found it tougher against a higher quality opponent.

Yeah and being a froward, coming on as the sub, after half time, when we only kicked four after quarter time had nothing to do with it.

Bit of balance wouldn’t hurt.
