Connors

Geez, Leysy was only showing that Dan had a very good game yesterday & the absurdity of the mothers club still whinging on his supposed "tude" & fitness.

Nitpickers are out today.

Its all well and good on what he did yesterday and what he is capable of however the huge question is.Should we keep him on the list with his application issues?

Yep youre right captain. Let's axe him and offer Jackson and JON another 3 years.

2 categories we have lacked in big time latley are Skills and a take no *smile* attitude, this kid has both, just needs a little fine tuning

Good points CC! In fact, I thought most of our younger guys were prepared to have a go back when the Dawks (upset by being made look ordinary) started the rough, bully-boy stuff. About time as well.

I think success may sort out his attitude - he seemed thrilled to be out there playing so well, thrilled to win, thrilled to stick it up the Hawks. If he's felt before a little unsure of whether he'd be given a go and get a permanent place in the team, he knows he can put that to rest now. Motivation, natural competitiveness, and a bit of growing up. He was a flash of take-no-prisoners talent out there yesterday, just the new blood we need.

Agreed and I hope it happens.

This guy is an A grade player. Under no circumstances should he be allowed to leave this club. Simply playing him in the one's should be enough for him to see what he could achieve and motivate him to get the required level of fitness over the next few summers.

Eventually he could a gun in the mid-field and off half-back in addition to the forward role he has to play now due to his fitness. Make no mistake, this guy is a genuine footballer as opposed to some 'athletes' we have at the club that are trying to be footballers (e.g. Jackson).

If Connors doesn't make it, let it be because he hasn't worked hard enough. Don't let it be because we didn't give him enough opportunity. He's got great talent. If he realises it and puts in the work, we'll have another player that could be part of a flag side.

Well said. I reckon Daniel could be whatever he wants to be.

I have been critical of Dan and i just want him to get his attitude right. He is a spitting image of didak, only without the offield crime sprees. No player deserves anything unless they earn it, skill or not.

What a gun. That 2nd goal goal was just so cool and smooth. And then that look-away handball to Morton was so classy. Must play the rest of the year.

I've been critical of Connors for his "rumoured" offfield behaviour since we got him on the list.
Never once doubted he has the ability and mongrel to be a seriously good hard headed player for us.
Never would I be stupid enough to start calling for his sacking for being a bit of an offield ratbag, would definately want him to pull the head in a bit and make sure that he gets every thing he possibly can out of his career at AFL level.

too much class to not be playin in the ones. He is the sought of plr that gives that little bit of polish to the final product.
I think playing him in the seniors will also help improve his "rumoured" off field attitude so we gotta stick with this young bloke.

Was it just me or does he try to stage freekicks ? If he does do that we need it slapped out of him before the umpires start to get that impression.
