Lol. I have said you play your players where they play their best footy.
So what YOU are saying is that Bauer has played as a HBF a lot of his junior career. So why did the club try and turn him into a fwd? Why when we drafted him did we not play him in the backline?
Where has Baker played his best footy for the RFC club? Back or Fwd?
Where has Short played his best footy? As a sweeper coming off HB. Never been a great defender but been a fantastic runner. People are saying replace Short for Baker. Baker plays as a small defender.
Where does Balta play his best football? Down back. All i'm saying is stop moving blokes around once they have settled and played their best footy in a certain position.
What about Ross?? Came to the club and played his first couple of games as a genuine mid and looked the goods. Club have been hellbent on turning him into a winger.
Miller. Came as a defender and i thought he was going ok. Club decided to move him all around the ground and not dont know where to play him now.
Shai played junior as a mid. We have tried to keep him up forward for the most part when he is great at winning his own ball.
We have constantly made the wrong selections this year and it has cost us in games. The sub last week another example.
Yes there are exceptions to the rule ala Rioli but how many of those have we had?
Club don't always get everything right.
Prestia aside I think the team looks a little better. Miller had to stay in guess to help Ryan in case Soldo runs out of juice.In. Soldo, Ross, Broad, Sonsie

They have been atrocious at times. Cannot understand how Mansell especially kept getting games...Thank heavens the Mansell & Ralphsmith farces are over.
Hardwick's stubborness probably got Mansell 3 more games than he should have. They have been atrocious at times. Cannot understand how Mansell especially kept getting games...
Miller is in as a 3rd ruck rotation. How would Bauer help there, we wouldn't be throwing him into defence much, he will most likely rotate off the bench and forward of centre.Decent changes. I would drop Miller for Bauer but I guess they're thinking Soldo will need help and won't be able to ruck for a full game. Makes sense. We just have to hope Miller can clunk a few when he goes back in our D50, but I won't hold my breath...
Tigers by 33.
Don’t talk too soon One may be subThank heavens the Mansell & Ralphsmith farces are over.
Without a doubt. I sometimes think he sees himself in these battlers hence why he persists with them so often.Hardwick's stubborness probably got Mansell 3 more games than he should have.
It's definitely a blind spot.Without a doubt. I sometimes think he sees himself in these battlers hence why he persists with them so often.
This information has been posted a few times but it seems that some have trouble readingBauer came to us as a forward (having played there for a half a season very well for whichever team it was in Adelaide). We started him there as thats where he was drafted, and are trialling him down back where he is thriving. I'm not sure why there are so many on here that want to bag the club out for this, we find the positions that suit the players the best.
You forgot Cumberland not being picked first 2 roundsYou assertion (and its been made many times on here by you and was the reason for your Bauer comment) is that we get players in and then try and turn them into something that they aren't.
Short came to us as a forward, we turned him into a JDM winning HBF
Baker came to use as a forward, we turned him into an outstanding HBF
Rioli came to us as a forward, we used him there and then turned him into 1 of the best HBFs in the game
We know when to move players to different roles.

Ross to me is 1 of those players where we have wanted to play him, but we have had to find a role for him as he isn't better than our best midfielders. He's a midfielder (and Dimma mentioned that in todays presser) but we have to be straight here, he hasn't played in that position in the 1's because he isn't better than Prestia, Cotchin, Martin, Bolton, Graham, Edwards from past seasons and now Hopper and Taranto. He's a good player and we have tried to find a a way to get him in the team in different roles because we rate him as a player.
MIller is probably similar to Ross, hasn't been good enough to play in the roles that he is best at (who would you have had him in for last year? Gibcus? Tarrant? Grimes? Balta?) so we have tried to find alternative spots for him to give us flexibility. IMO he's a defender, and the club probably knows that, but if he's a defender, then he is a VFL defender for us as he isn't a best 22 defender for us, we have better players there.
Shai IMO is the one you can say is played out of position, but thats probably because of how good and how flexible he is. He's a mid in my eyes, but he's probably also our best small forward, so when we have a logjam in midfield he is the 1 to be shunted forward.
We haven't "constantly" made the wrong selection. We have stuffed this up in 2 games. The Dogs game for leaving out Jack in the wet was a horror decision (but also remember some of those calling that a horror decision, wanted Jack banished and retired after Round 1, which IMO is the bigger joke of the 2), and the sub decision against Melbourne was a very poor decision.
Some just want to complain at pretty much everything the club do, and I put you in that boat, you are probably only 1 person short of being the most negative on this forum (King Kong is numero uno) and frankly its tiring, boring and it makes the forum unenjoyable for every decision to be sensationalised as awful etc.

He was switched forward by his SANFL club and was a bit of a revelation there and that's where we played him. Switching him back was no more than reverting to what he had been
I've watched him a few times and to me he doesn't have the physical attributes to be an AFL level key forward but he could be a very handy back in the Grimes/Broad type role, but given his background he could also be a bit of a swingman
You forgot Cumberland not being picked first 2 rounds
Some people think the MC can do no wrong. Thought this was a forum to vent and discuss. Didn't realise i have to applaud all decisions.... even the crap ones.
