Changes vs Sydney Swans

Disappointed we dropped so many young players this week. Usually we back them in.

It risks signalling that we blame the young players and their lack of individual talent for the team's loss.
It conditions people to look at the ins and outs as the main cause of, and solution to, team performance.
It also risks sparking jealousy among teammates, as those dropped look at those who weren't dropped and typically you'll get people feeling like it's unfair they're being blamed and others are not.
The next time these young players are under adversity in a match, they're going to be more likely to feel individual selection pressure the more the scoreboard changes.

Dimma resisted dropping players en masse after a loss. He usually backed them in to perform better next week. It must've been 10+ years since Dimma dropped 4 young players after a loss. It's unsettling to see.

This week's changes were a very un-Richmond response to what was admittedly a very un-Richmond game last week.
