Changes V Hawks

From RFC
James Trezise 21yo 188cm 76Kg
A smooth moving dangerous forward from Tooradin-Dalmore with zippy lateral movement and athleticism. He has never been in the elite pathway before which is exciting considering the raw talent he possesses.
End the farce and play him forward

Certainly wouldn't be against giving him a crack forward, but he has been playing defence for a while now (and doesn't swing forward as much as Bauer did), but we do need to find that mix forward which we have struggled to do all season.

Coulthard debut......as sub?
Pointless even moreso if Ralphsmith is in the starting lineup.

Get him in with Trezise and Cumbo lets put some energy and spark into the forward 50, we did it last year around this time and we resurrected a dead season.

Given he's been with us for 5 minutes, maybe it's to give him a feel of the atmosphere before coming on and also to squeeze him in with others they want in.

True man, I just rather see the lad playing as opposed to others that have had a heap of opportunities and not capitalised..

EMG: Hugo, Samson, Judz and Coulthard (sub)

I'm ok with these changes. Those in the side have been getting it done but the two dropped were the weakest links.

Banks gets another crack & that's fair enough.

Or maybe it’s so the kids isn’t completely rooted come half time. He’s coming off a low base.

Easy selection decision, Mansell for JNR.

Coulthard the surprise bonus.

Cumberland must be close, was good on the weekend in VFL.

Banks was a borderline retain and a tad lucky for me but having waited so long for his debut glad he has a little block of games to hopefully show something.

Yeah, against the Dorks it's worth giving him another game.

Interesting that Cumbo is not even an emergency.

He would be close but probably needs one or two more games like last weekend. There are a few pushing for senior places in the vfl. Trezise, Sonsie and Brown to name a few and Clarke is also around the mark.

Will be interesting to see how these boys go against a strong Box Hill side on Saturday. We have a number of AFL listers playing in that game but it will be a pretty young team.

and bringing Coultard in to debut (for a bit at least) in a game like this is smart

It does surprise me as Steve Morris's write up seems to indicate that Trezise is a bit ahead of Coulthard. Still what do I know

If Shorty is back next week you can understand keeping Banks in for another game. It would be pretty tough to debut Trezise or Brown and then drop them after one game. Hopefully he shows something this week.

Mansell and Coulthard the inclusions.

Should give us a lot more acceleration and drive.

You'd hope so. We play Melbourne next round.
