Changes V Hawks

*smile* , bad hammy obviously

This is what I wrote here on the injury report thread. Make of it what you will.

Seriously, they have mismanaged several players, especially with hammies. Short looked like a standard hammy so much so that only 3 days ago Luke Meehan said this.

Jayden Short, hamstring

"Shorty's jumping out of his skin to get back, as everyone would expect. He's running, things are progressing really well.... We'll see Jayden back pretty soon.".

Now, in yesterday's presser with Mini, this is what was said. The reporter says; Short seems that his recovery might need to be pushed back a little bit, 4-6 weeks.

Mini said; With a hammy like that hard to put an exact time frame on it to start with.
He's just gonna build his rehab and it will be a little bit of that last couple of week period for him, it might go for 1 week or 2 weeks when he really gets back to the end of his rehab. He is progressing atm certainly been no setbacks for him and when he plays again it'll be just a wait-and-see at the end of his rehab.

As I said in the injury thread, what’s written here isn’t that bad. The reporter means a total of 4-6, not 4-6 more weeks. He’s had what 2 weeks out now, prob 2-3 more out.

On the afl website he's listed as 4-6 weeks

Dusty looked like he shrugged his arm/elbow back, rarely do players get suspended for that but we'll wait and see.
Brownlow medalist, 3 time Norm Smith medalist, surely he has some credits in the bank.

Anyway, if 1 of the 4 maggots in charge had of payed holding the man (considering our boys seemed to be getting hugged at every stoppage) to any of our midfielders at any point during the game Dusty wouldn't have had to take matters into his own hands.

Since Lynch went down we haven't had a functioning forward line. We could do with someone in the forwards who can take a mark and not leave it all to a very tired Jack.

I know that what most of us are saying is, short is running, jumping out of his skin. Then we hear 4-6 weeks, one to two more than expected. Why?
Then Mini and when he plays again it'll be just a wait-and-see at the end of his rehab.

The way it sounded he was coming back v Hawks but more likely dees. Now it's likely V Saints. That's 4 more weeks. 6-week hammy injury. It didn't even look that bad v lions, short felt something and went off. Jacob Bauer was similar and looked not too bad lets see how long he is out for, should be your standard 3-week injury, give or take 1.

My guess it'll be something like - In: Ryan, Mansell, Trezise Out: Miller, M.Rioli, Banks (possible sub?), Ralphsmith

The info published on the website is either copied and pasted or estimated from the little information provided. In this case Short is listed as "medium term."

Med term in meehans world is 4-6. Short term 1-3. Long-term 6 weeks +
