Changes v Aints

Wow people going off at Hugo and Dow being named. They won't even play, they are on the extended bench, they will be emergencies tomorrow night.

Crisis averted.

Even if they aren't, if they played good enough in the VFL, and we aren't going to cut deep (or we're trying to build trade value) play em. Some established players aren't performing, so how much worse could it get?

After what Paddy Dow did to Saints.
Why not give Dow a go. Play like Paddy son.

Hugo can do no wrong to get a game.
He didnt shine on the weekend did he?

Edit: Nm
Hugo Ralphsmith (15 disposals, seven marks, one goal)

"It was a low impact day from Hugo. He struggled to get his running game up and going, but I thought he had a real influence in the last quarter when we needed to get speed into the game and he was able to hit the scoreboard as well as pass one off."

Tyler Sonsie (31 disposals, 13 contested possessions, eight marks, eight clearances, five inside-50s)

"High contested possession and clearance numbers again on the weekend. He probably let himself down by foot with his ball use, but he certainly was able to win the ball for us."

Would’ve preferred Sonz got a go

I think Hugo would've only be named because Rioli may miss with injury.

We have no quality youth in the midfield, reward the kid for those numbers.

Don‘t get it.

The final interchange bench I reckon will be> Banks, Broad, Ryan, Pickett
SUB: Ralphsmith or Dow

Ins: Dusty, Grimes, Ryan
Outs: Hopper (inj), Cumberland (inj), Soldo (omitted), Mansell (sub/omitted)

* Graham can count himself lucky, 11 disposals and zero score), is simply not good enough. but with Hopper out and Cotchin not fit guess, he gets a reprieve.

Soldo should stay. Ryan has done nothing at VFL level to deserve another go.

Need Soldo to play and pump up trade value.

Yeah, not fussed if Soldo or Ryan are in. The reason I put Ryan ahead of Soldo is that he can play as a key forward also and support Jack whereas Soldo really cant.

Does not matter who is out & who is in so just have to be switched on right from the start. Last weeks first quarter absolute embarrassing. Its the skippers job to get them in the right frame mind. Last week & the three previous games leadership appeared to be at at very low ebb.

Nanks and Soldo combo was hopeless. May as play Ryan and give him continued experience.
We don't take that approach. Otherwise Sonsie, Brown and Ryan would've played more.

Ryan hasn't carved up a VFL game since going back. A lot of talk that he's too good for VFL level. Not showing it.

Can anyone recall a day that hasn't been low impact for HRS?

Not sure why we keep persisting with him. Banks shows way more. Maybe not the wavy hair out the back but can kick the ball within a few metres of a team mate.
