Changes v Aints

Out: marlion, graham, rioli
In: Dusty, Kmac, Nank

I know Marlion has that smooth, laconic style but there's a fine line between that and being lazy. Some of his efforts Thursday night were really poor and he looks completely lost when he wanders into defence. Burning Cotch at the start of the 2nd to take on 3 players is not how we play.

Would love to get Baker back in, but thought Stack was ok and tried to generate some run in the second half.

Back to 2 ruckman, let's go tall at Marvel

As others have mentioned it's difficult to promote without the VFL in action.

Would give the regulars one more opportunity to get back on track before embarrassing a few premiership heroes.

There will definitely be two forced changes.

Martin and Baker will come in.

Who goes out is anyone’s guess.

In - Bobble and Butler ....................................... :))

In all seriousness those two would be bloody handy the way the others are travelling right now.

Marlion, Graham, Rioli and Ross will probably be the four under most duress this week to keep their spot.

Deep cut there H, been a long time since the possibility of so many changes to the Tigers side.

I doubt they will go that far though, maybe 2 - 3 with 4 being likely the max.

I reckon two, Baker and Martin in. Only three if they swap Nakkers for Soldo.

All young and or inexperienced players dropped.

Yep, we are very conservative with changes as Dimma does like to give blokes a chance to redeem themselves after a poor performance.
However, reckon there will be three changes, maybe 4
Martin in for Graham
Baker in for Stack
Kmac in for Picket and
Maybe Nank in for Soldo
Reckon Rioli and George will be very lucky. They are both proven small forwards with experience so will be given another chance.

Need to go back to 2 rucks. Don't wanna see Lynch or Broad or Pickett rucking.

Dimma does like giving players a chance to redeem themselves, but there is a limit on how many chances they get.

I reckon they have to make changes, not too many, but some need a kick up the rear end.

Defiantly be bringing KMac into play on Hill, Hill has stitched us up a few times , Kmacs probably our only endurance beast who can go with him somewhat

Out: Those who cannot gut run for 4 quarters
In: Those who can

Based on ch9 SFShow vision Pickett needs a spell to assess his desire to play...pulled out of a contest when he should have taken possession then absorbed the oncoming hit, then later dropped his head in a solo marking contest expecting contact from behind. Not the Richmond way.
Houli also on notice for not backing back into a contest with Patton bearing down on him but he did have a great game last week v Pies.

Pickett the new whipping boy on PRE now Ellis has gone? Was a hero four games ago.

I'll review every Nank game for you. Never gives in, never stops competing, clean hands, physically imposing on the ground and in the air and cunning as a fox!
Clean hands?
He handballs straight to the opposition half the time.

The footage was pretty ordinary to watch but I don't think it was as bad as it seems.

Pickett isn't the first and won't be the last low base contract player to have concerns about potential injuries. For him match payments represent a big percentage of his wage so given his financial issues it is hard to blame him if that is on his mind.

I think everyone would also be comfortable with Houli being selective for when to go as well at his stage of career.

Another thing that is massively overblown is the footage of a couple of guys laughing after the game. Is there anyone who wouldn't think it was ok to knock off after a tough day at work and meet a mate for a beer and a laugh to get away from it? These guys give up the beer, surely they don't have to give up laughing as well.
Yes his financial situation may be on his mind but if he plays to protect himself he won't be picked anyway. If it's a real problem perhaps the club can help him in other ways bc we can't pick players that won't go in hard, it's just the nature of the game...at every level, under age to AFL.

My bigger concern was some of the footage of the lack of desire for Pickett in his defensive running. If theres one thing we have continually picked players on over the last 3 years is the ability and desire to run both ways. He won't need to worry about match payments if he doesn't change this as he won't be playing anyway.
