This. Two weeks in a row we have just bombed it hoping Lynch or Jack can mark but inevitably its 1 or 2 on plenty and they intercept or run it back out. Both Collingwood and Hawks have good interceptors so if there was ever a need to be smarter going forward, that was it.
And the king of the bomb was in many’s votes. Short is simply a long slow kick. Would love some stats on possession retention after his bombs into the forward line. And how often were jack and lynch in the same marking contest??

In: Chol, Kmac, Nank, Martin
Out: Pickett, Soldo, and another 2 from any of about 10 players

Need to get more centre clearances and the ball to our forward line whilst it’s 6-6-6
If we don’t our next forward entry results in 15 defenders vs our 6 forwards
I’d go for a taller forward line to bust a few packs and keep opposition defenders honest

B Broad Astbury Grimes
HB Short Vlaustin Houli
C McIntosh Cotchin Baker
HF Higgins Lynch Lambert
F Castagna CCJ Riewoldt

R Soldo Martin Edwards
IC Bolton Caddy Prestia Pickett

Dead Set. A lot of you guys have short memories. Nank was a godsend when he arrived. Speculation about trying Chol, CCJ and even Balta when you have the real deal sitting in the "SCRATCHIES" is crazy!

Review of his game doesn't seem glowing. I think we'll stick with Soldo unless he's injured.

I'll review every Nank game for you. Never gives in, never stops competing, clean hands, physically imposing on the ground and in the air and cunning as a fox!

There will be 2 changes next week I reckon at the least.
I hope so, last year when we beat the Power, we had Ross on debut, Stack playing his 2nd game, Balta playing his 3rd and Bakes his 4th game.
There's a few blokes that need a bit of a wake up call.

IN :Nank , Dusty and Kmac
Out: Rioli , graham , pickett

probably should bring in baker i guess but not sure who to replace
bringing a ruckman and proper winger in are non negotiables , if the mc dont recognise this i give up

We also need to give more time in the midfield for some of our younger players , we have an oldish midfield which is starting to look staid..

I've got Higgins out; seems harsh, but figure he is due a rest. The rest of the changes pick themselves IMO. Rioli gets one more game - I think if we play the right game style (ie: not bomb it randomly into the forward 50, but instead hit it hard and lower to the keys, or even look for an alternative target once in a while) he'll lift, and the defensive pressure is still needed. Stack survives, though him going out for Dow or RCD would be fine by me. George same.

Ins: CCJ, Kmac, Baker, Dusty
Outs: Graham, Pickett, Ross, Higgins (rest)

Broad, Grimes, Astbury

Baker, Vlastuin, Houli

Kmac Prestia, Riewoldt

Caddy, CCJ, Castagna

Edwards, Lynch, Dusty

Soldo, Cotchin, Lambert

Stack, Short, Rioli Bolton

No need for panic wholesale changes , obviously Dusty and Bakes come back in, not sure if the Skip or Prestia are 100% Or 80% after Hawks game , in saying that I’d really like to see a Balta get some AFL time down back, CCJ play some FWD rucking and Dow debut, not so much this week just generally over this season. Rioli an Graham I’d think would be under the pump after 2 games

Bulter is a crafty smart footballer.
Im not sure what he was on for us to trade him, but when it comes to playing on the Telstra Dome that will help him alot. Dry fast track.
Good luck catching him

Tigga might catch him with a nice sharp elbow.

Yes I know all that, calm down, I'm just trying to realistically appraise the chance of Nanks replacing Soldo for Saints game based on the scratch match report and that we rarely make mass changes, I'm thinking it's unlikely.

What is the reasons behind 1 ruckman only.

Why can't we have two, in Nank and Soldo as a chop out?

Naturally, Martin and Baker have to come in.

Graham is struggling so he could go with Nank coming in.

Have not been aware of Rioli even being on the field in the last two games.

Not easy for the selectors this coming week.
