Changes for Semi

Ryder was out last time. As was Soldo. They won quite well. In Round 4, we had almost all our team playing.
Their speed and marking players killed us in both defence and attack.
Round 4 is a long time ago, but they have troubled us even over these last few years. We dont match up well on them.

Marvel stadium does not suit us against them. But Metricon does.

Surely saints appeal and he gets off, macrae lowered himself in the contest and long stayed on the ground the whole time not as it he jumped up and did it

For some reason I’m thinking Lego against the saints... no solid logic, just a “I reckon” moment

We have won 9 of last 12 v Saints
2 worst were this year and the 2017 smashing which in hindsight was the turning point to premiership glory.
But where they have or have not been a bogey side Friday's result v lions proves the only game that counts is the the next one.

Yeah I agree. Hope they challenge it.

While I only saw it on the news and website... Looked like he made no effort to tackle, and he didn't even look at the ball, was all about taking McRae out.

If we make it to the GF there’s a good chance our next three opponents would have beaten us the last time we played them. I don’t think we get beaten twice in a row by the same team much anymore.

9 of 12 is true but it is also 10 of 13.
Then a draw before that.
Then before that we are 0-13, but that was a very different ere for both clubs.

Repeat offender no sympathy whatsoever. Do not want him on the paddock next week which would give him the chance to take out one of our stars

Perhaps we do need to find a spot on the wing for Markov since "Bob" posted their speed and marking power was too good for us last time. Against the Lions we looked slow in breaking away from congestion or even when we took possession so our handball chains were stopped with their fierce tackling. Prestia and a few others were caught a few times so we hope he can improve his speed and acceleration this weak.
In: Markov for Pickett;
Lynch for Chol;
Caddy for finals experience but we lose speed if we drop Aarts;
Broad for finals exp. but who goes out ??
Glad I'm not on the MC.

Get the impression it will be the one change. In: Lynch, Out: Chol. Perhaps Markov in for Aarts (Pickett could be a possibility but I doubt it), but that would make it 8 defenders which would have to push 1 of the 8 presumably as a small forward

Lynch will come in.

We also have Broad Caddy Ross and Markov as possible inclusions.

Broad and Caddy could be a sneaky chance

but it would take some re-shuffling which dimma doesn't do

Not so much changes for this week , however I’d like to have had Broad in the back half , with Baker or short taking Picketts spot on the wing , just don’t think his that good , also I’d be having Caddy in the front half .

I wouldn’t play Chol this week but won’t be shocked if he still plays .

Dont care who’s in an out for the Saints , they’ll have 22 blokes havin a crack , it’s going to be tough no matter what

im glad too.
Going to be a robust MC meeting going on until Thursday.

I suspect it will be Lynch for Chol and Caddy for Aarts assuming Caddy is fit.

Would be good to somehow fit Broad in as we need some sort of back up ruck.

However, given Chol did more ruck work in the last quarter from memory, it wouldn't overly surprise me if he stays in but only as back up ruck and maybe some other role when not helping out Nank. Rucks these days seem to be undersized unless they are at least 198cm or so, we are short of decent rucks without Soldo. Still, how many teams wouldn't be short with one main ruck (Soldo) out and a backup (CCJ) also unavailable?
