Changes For Next Week, round 18 against Gee Whiz

Steely would be a replacement for Campbell so I'm hopefull they throw that at him first. Graham would be the best option as sub as he can cover forward, mid or back if needed.
Only thing is since around R3 this season, other than Kmac all the subs have been inexperienced youngsters so I doubt it will be Graham.

Graham has been used as a tagger in recent weeks. I wonder if he will play half forward and tag Whitfield? A few teams have done that this season because they start a lot of their run from halfback.
It will be interesting to see who goes to Toby Greene. The giants have 3 talls in their forward line so Broad might have to go to one of them. Maybe we should test Tom Brown on him?
Challenge Trezise on Greene? I'd like to see that. Great learning experience.

I think Blight needs to play a certain amount of games to be eligible for finals if the boys make it which is looking more than likely. Maybe needs to play 3 more games.

So we're dropping Blight so we can bring in Ryan. Really? What's going through the minds of the MC. Blight has shown a much greater ability to take a contested mark in his 2 games than Ryan has ever done. At least he can raise both arms above his head. And what's with the Balta yo yo treatment? Make up your mind.

They play different positions. Comparison a forward/ruckman with key backman seems pointless. Balta took Bligh's position as closest match. If comparing like for like it should be Blight with Miller. Which one deserves the spot more?

Harry, you only have to listen to what the coach said and you would know.

He very reluctantly moved Balta forward because we had no options. Lynch, Lefau, Bauer, Ryan and Fawcett were all injured. He has said for weeks that our backline looked better with Balta back so once Ryan was available this change was totally predictable and consistent with what he was saying.

Noticeably Bauer is playing forward in the VFL as well this week. We have now have a backup option down back in Blight and you would think Bauer is seen as an option forward for the rest of the season.

Easier to *smile* and moan rather than listen and understand. Thanks for the summary Sin.

Does he want Balta back or forward? Make up your mind. He flip flops every second week. He clearly wanted him in the fwd line at the start of the year and had him there when Lynch was available. The season is shot so why not commit to it seeing we have a few options to play key back. It's doing Baltas development a disservice moving him around like this. Lynch only has a year or 2 left so what are our long term plans?

He gets pilloried here for moving him and for not moving him.

I think most of us agree his best position is back and also that we are massively lacking as a team in key forwards. So you can criticise or praise either approach.

It’s no surprise some posters harp on the negative and others on the team balance.

Some criticise blight getting dropped and also criticise why he hasn’t moved Balta back.
