Changes against the Swannies.

Cotchy provides X factor n his maniacal attack on the ball. Marlion provides X factor in the silky glide and delivery. Same same ....or using the Aldi motto. Good, different!!

If you want grunt, although he's hardly made at tackle this year. If you want a head to head mid Pickett is the man.
Pickett will come in , let’s hope he responds to a kick up the backside , we can’t got with 4-5 kids , won’t happen

Just watching our 2019 GF (again) and noticed the brilliant connection in ball movement when Lynch eventually missed the lot with his shot at goal early in the 3rd qtr. The chain in play went Nankervis, Cotchin, Houli, Edwards and Lynch. All will be missing on Sunday :confused::confused:

I think we have several options if Lynch cant play. Dusty and Caddy can both play deep fwd. Both have had plenty of success in that spot and could swap through the middle. CCJ could swap through the ruck and play deep fwd too. My first choice would be Caddy as he has done it very well before with Jack a mobile half fwd.
Swans have a small backline - Rampe, Allir (if he doesnt ruck and he sucked last week) Melican

In Rampe they have one of the best forward matchups for Dusty
(though the stats prob show that i am wrong!)
Rampe has speed and agility of a medium defender, plus has strength as he typically plays as the last back on the big forwards.

Best to keep JR8 deep, play CCJ and allow a mismatch for the others.

Most ins are a like for like.
I am totally on the fence with the last inclusion.
We could choose a direct replacememt for Dion, or shuffle Higgo and Lambo up and get more outside run.
Shai, Pickett, Ross,

Concerns that our engine is slow - Jack G, Higgo, Lambo. At least this week its the swans.

Concerns that with Houli -> Naish it leaves 3 light smalls in defence Naish Bakes Short.
But Naish is in form.

From the reports Dow deserves and would be similar to Shedda, but do we roll the dice like we did with Marlion?

Nankervis - Soldo
Cotchin - Graham
Lynch - Coleman-Jones
Edwards - Dow
Houli - Naish
Prestia - ?? Pickett (or Shai)

I would run with Chol in combo with JR8. CCJ and Soldo to share ruck. I thought Chol was ordinary early but he competed strongly after qtr time. He can also play the high forward role as he is so athletic. Really hope CCJ gets a run, great opportunity for him over next few weeks.

We won't miss Lynchs misses this week
But he has the Coleman for the asking if he plays enough games.

This will be new but possibly worth a try: Speed as well as some experience on the bench if we need to cover.
B: short, Grimes,broad
Hb: Baker, Balta, Vlaustin
CPickett, Caddy,Dow
CHF: rioli , reiwoldt, Castagna
FF: Chol, Arts, Bolton
Foll: Soldo, Martin Lambert
I\c: Higgins, Graham, Stack, Markov

Swans Roos .. Must take these two down. Our draw for first 7 weeks is very much bottom half skewed...and we are likely to cop both Qld teams there.

Bingo

I reckon its time for Graham to step up to the midfield enforcer role. Dow a lock in the Shedda role. Pickets for Prestia.

6 premiership players to go out & potentially 4 to come in (Soldo Graham Bolton & Pickett)

Not bad when you can say that.

From X Clarke, sreport on the scratch match, Marlion and Shai are sure to come in.
Not time for young bodies, though Naish is in too good form to ignore.

And I wonder if the match committee are toying with a structural change if Lynch is out, bringing in Markov.
It would be more frontline speed and not risk being too tall.
Rucks to be Soldo and Chol, forwards JR8 Markov Castagna Rioli Lambo Bolton
A crazy wild move.

In the real world
Nankervis - Soldo
Cotchin - Graham
Lynch - Coleman-Jones
Edwards - Bolton
Houli - Naish
Prestia -Pickett

As much as i would love for Lynch to play, i think they will rest him for one game.

Outs: Cotchin, Prestia, Edwards, Houli, Nank and Lynch
Ins: Soldo for Nank, CCJ for Lynch, Stack or Ross for Houli, Bolton for Edwards, Pickett for Prestia and Graham for Cotchin

Now if they decide to debut Dow then one of the above won't be in. I'd say Stack/Ross would be the unlucky one even though id have one of them in before Pickett.

Anyways you look at it it's still a damn strong side, excellent depth!

Does anyone know how to go about buying tickets to the Tigers vs Swans match this weekend?

My nephew, a fanatical Tiger, who lives in Brisbane is keen to go, but can’t find out what he needs to do.
