Callum Coleman-Judas - extricate yourself to Nth Ballarat, you git

Played well today but he’s in his 4th year in the system, not a first year rookie. Expectations are and should be higher for someone with for years of development under their belt.

The real challenge begins now because opposition clubs will take notice of today’s performance and start putting work in to him.

Talk of him replacing Lynch on the back of a single good game are absolutely absurd.
Talls take longer, especially ruck forwards. CCJ is tracking ok.

Would‘ve played another 25 games at another club.

Just remember to show restraint and not write him off if he doesn't kick 4 again next week (and it's unlikely he will)

The lad started poorly but worked into it really well. Can clearly be a player. But the real story of today for mine is what happens when you have multiple tall threats and they spread properly. As hard as Jack worked, his last quarter only happens when the oppo is worried about more than one key forward.
I’m hoping this is the learning. 3 tall forwards can work and 2 rucks or 1 ruck and tall genuine hybrid is a must.
Spot on

Nice to have a big bloke leading at the ball. With that size, he’s hard to stop at full tilt. Surpassingly good at leading to space and getting separation.

Impressive start. Didn’t show much in the ruck. Strange how Chol showed more in the ruck and CCJ showed more out of the square. Long way to go before judgement but good start. Regardless trade value went up, significantly.
Not that surprising considering who he was playing on.
As you say, long way to go. Much much bigger challenges ahead.

And he’ll get much better with experience so it squares the ledger re the opposition.
Can only do wonders for his confidence which is half the battle

Great game by CCJ. Once he started competing with intent he started getting on the end of a few.
wanna see more of his versatility in the ruck.

CJ is staying in. Dimma flagged a change in style, you don’t *smile* around with those.

Jack played pretty high at times today.

My guess is Chol would make way for Lynch when he returns and CJ gives Nank the odd chop out.

Interesting times in the coaching box.

He played well after taking some time coming into the game. We are all aware this was his second game and not expecting he can get 4 goals every week.

Apart from a good game I reckon the excitement is the structural change he represents if he can continue to play well. He will make space for Lynch and Riewoldt allowing Reiwoldt to roam around a lot further up the ground and this is a big advantage for us. Plus, he is a long term prospect to replace Riewoldt when he does retire.

We need to be bringing in players like CCJ and giving them a go. Once Riewoldt does retire we can take Sampson out of the oven, hope he's well done, and continue the evolution of the team with young players coming through while older players get close to retirement. We have won 3 of the last 4 flags so clearly replacing the stars will be very difficult but we have to be playing for now and planning for the future.

CJ could well be the vital ingredient to beat the likes of Melbourne and Brisbane in September who have dominant key backs and interceptors. Having another big contested marking option in the forward line alongside Lynch with Jack roaming and doubling back will make it just a bit more difficult for the likes of Lever May and Andrews who have been doing as they please.

I had erased that prick from my memory, jeez hope not.
Why is he a prick? He gave us good service and was eventually traded. Not everyone can be a hero. He certainly doesn't deserve the wrath the fans, not even the childish keyboard warrior types.

clearly u dont know your history SNAG.
Mr shulz Wanted to be traded from day dot back to SA, tigers supported him through his multiple indiscretions and still he forced his way to port, to then dominate in F50 for 6 years.

Great game after a very ordinary/nervous first quarter.

We look so much better with 2 rucks whilst still having the 2 tall forwards (3 at times) at all times.

Why did it take him 7 seasons to go back to SA if he wanted to go back from day dot?
