Callum Coleman-Judas - extricate yourself to Nth Ballarat, you git

Dawson could fall to PSD if Adelaide can’t satisfy the Swans. Unlikely, but possible.

I don’t think CCJ is a very good ruckman.

Bullocking forward, sure

The CJ trade will go to the wire. If the bargaining power is dictated by the PSD threat, it will be in our interest to wait to see what other deals fall through. If a Cerra or a Dawson can't get deals done, I'm certain Norf wouldn't choose CJ above those blokes

Plenty of tension around that deal. Swans more disgruntled than us.
Speak for yourself. I admire the Swannies 'take no BS' approach. We better be very similar behind closed doors AFAIAC. Signs that is the case too. Even Dimma's flippant response on 360 - 'So I hope they're bringing pick 1.' Not merely toying - signalling.

Agree. And puts real public pressure on Adelaide. Look at the articles already written this afternoon in The Age and Fox. Already half agreeing with the Swans claims that Dawson is as worthy as Cerra for a Top 5 pick. Gee Fox's article even tries to compare their stats, etc.

I think their approach is very good. From afar, without knowing what's going on, I wish we were more forthright in our statements on CCJ.

So leaving them with just Goldy, CCJ and the guy they took in the MYD? Thin stocks. Big responsibility on CJ - don't get injured.
Nah, they’re fine, they’ve got Tom Campbell….

Michael Gleeson article just published.

The Western Bulldogs’ first round draft pick is being sought by clubs involved in two different deals as a possible key to unlocking talks for Jordan Dawson and Callum Coleman-Jones.

The Dogs’ pick 17, which the club is keen to trade for multiple later draft picks that can secure them more ranking points to help cover a bid for star father-son prospect Sam Darcy than the pick 17 alone would draw, is being sought as a potential circuit breaker in talks for the trades of both Dawson and Coleman-Jones.

Under a trade scenario being canvassed on Tuesday, Adelaide would trade later picks to the Bulldogs for pick 17 but only on the proviso that the pick was sufficient to satisfy the Swans in an exchange for Dawson.
The Crows and Bulldogs were content with the arrangement, but Sydney rejected the deal as insufficient compensation for the player who had come third in their best and fairest.

Richmond and North Melbourne, meanwhile, have also begun discussions with the Bulldogs on a trade for Callum Coleman-Jones that would involve pick 17. Under that scenario, the Dogs would improve their points position, Richmond would secure pick 17, and North would slide a few places in the draft.

I'm confused what that means then. We get 17, where would North slide from and to? Are they giving up 20 and then sliding to 26, why wouldn't they do that directly with us?

Seems strange we would need to get North involved to get 17 when we just get it ourselves, we currently have 5 picks between 26 and 46 to get it done with.

Unless it somehow gets us 17 and 20 and some of our picks go to North and some go to the Dogs?

It dosent make sense.
We are the ones with the picks,
What's North issue?
Footscary can now pick from 3 clubs.
And i guarantee it wont be us.

Posh, I was confused too.
Was hoping you'd unravel it for us.
