Bye Bye Jack Higgins!

Still want to rebuild BS?

I never wanted him dropped but reckon he would have been the 1 to go if Butler got fit.

He wont get dropped now. And Butler wont return, unless we get injuries.

Settle down, just a gentle reminder of your claim that Snags is not best 22 ;D

FWIW, I thought Conca didn’t add much last night. If Butts is good to go in two weeks I’d seriously look at him.

Is a very clever player who played well, and will benefit from having played his first final.

Neither Conca or Graham seemed to do a whole lot last night (stats will probably prove me wrong), but as others have said the only thing that's changing our side is injury or suspension. Higgins steal to give Caddy a goal was electrifying. Kid is a natural footballer.

Graham had 20+ pressure acts last night I’m pretty sure. Won’t be going anywhere.

Surprised how quickly he has filled out physically.

Had to double check the replay a couple of times to make sure it was Higgins.

Thought as a first year player he would run out of steam …. just getting better and better.

You mean the goal that Caddy stuffed up because, once again, he tried to out-run defenders or get around on his right and blew it. He is not Chris Judd for pace, Caddy, although played well overall. Only had to bang it through on his left immediately!

Higlet was refreshingly honest. On the Fox interview he was asked how long it took for him to get into thye game, as it was his first final. He said it took awhile but as soon as he pulled off that smother his nerves went and he was fine.

The kid could be anything. He's obviously a sponge when it comes to footy, desperate to learn as much as he can. A few years of sucking as much as he can out of Jack, Dusty, Chimp, Sheds, Rance etc and who knows what this kid will develop into.

Bruce was genuinely star struck interviewing him after the game. :hihi

Surprising really. Certainly sounded like he'd relaxed himself several times during his call.

Said it at the time he was drafted that he reminds me of Ablett Jnr.

He's gonna be a star this kid.

Has simply risen to every step up in level since U/9s. The higher the stakes the better he plays. That's a champions trait right there
Go the Kransky

Geez a bit harsh. Caddy usually makes great decisions but in the heat of the moment yeah you're sometimes going to get it wrong. He was under immense pressure.

Yep, reckon Cadds was wrong footed n under the pump with the Hawforn bloke in front of him, did the step around beautifully but got nailed by some other prick coming from behind at 100mph. Just one of those *smile* happens moments when things are going flat out.

Two years running we have pick up someone special in Graham and now Higgins. When Higgins was drafted the writeup on him indicated he wanted to succeed in AFL and would do anything to make that happen. I bet he didn't expect to succeed so soon as did many of us but his drive and commitment to the game shows he is destined to be a star.

No, I was speaking about another one. Caddy got legged and put the goal through from the resulting free kick.

I said this very early on, this kid reminds of Brent Harvey.

Reckon Higgins has had a better 1st year too.

How sweet is it to be penalised for winning the flag by getting the last pick in the first round of the draft and getting snags.
