Bye Bye Jack Higgins!

Good hands and vision the boy

and really wanted Jack R to kick his 10th goal for the match. As I watched the last minute, I hoped the players would get the ball to Jack. The players were stuff but they played for each other and as they wanted Jack to achieve his goal. Well done team.

I think the boy was more excited than Jack himself when he got the 10th. It’s amazing how quickly he’s become an absolute fan favourite. Provides so much energy to this group on top of what he actually does with the ball in hand. Absolutely invaluable player.

He writes pretty well for someone who left school early, but like his 1/2 time addresses I have no idea what his book has to do with football.

I think Higlett is such a fan fave because of his exuberance his genuine joy and love of being out there playing, living his dream.

He doesnt pretend to be anyone hes just being himself and living every second to the fullest.

God on the lad.

I agree. Sadly, he will be doing tons of work with the media department learning all the cliches and all of the respectful ways to say nothing. He is a breath of fresh air at the moment but will eventually lose it.

I have a friend who does media training with NRL meatheads in Sydney. She has so much work she needs to clone herself.

He's already started to taper it.
Curse media training.

Can the Higlet play Lamberts role, he has a great tank, but whether it's good enough in his first season i'm not sure.

Jack just LOVES playing for the Tigers.
He's just like a kid in a lolly shop.
So wants to be part of a great and successful team.
Imagine if he were to snag a premiership medallion in his first season. He will go off. Won't be able to wipe the smile off his face for sooooo long.
Reckon the young fella is vital to the energy of the team.

Has he played in front of 1,000,000 people yet?

He has played 15 games, several of those crowds have been 60k plus, a couple over 80k. The only down crowds have been the two trips to the expansion wastelands.

I reckon he will be close.

I reckon he is our best bet to play Lambert’s role. Very similar players. Would probably thrive on the challenge. Rioli playing more midfield will help also.

Would be an outstanding achievement if he can fill that role, it's a big ask. I like the idea of Rioli playing a bit of midfield.

I reckon this is the strongest contribution we've had in a season from an 18 year old since Dustin. Before that, it was probably Deledio.

So lucky to get that from a draftee after winning a premiership.

I reckon he'll thrive tonight.

Depends how our other mids are going if they are halving or winning the contest, for this game only, we might need him to stay forward as he and George's speed might be required to pressure Essendon's dashing half backs, Saad and McKenna, (a bit of pressure on those boys and they will turn it over).

Yes, will be interesting who plays where, Baker will help keep them honest too.

Higgins hasn't played every game so I think 23.21 is right
