Bye Bye Jack Higgins!

(IMO Gill is the more RB)
It's a heavyweight clash, snake. But Gil is more cynical, or at least appears to be. They are both status quo good old boys who look after their mates at the polo club.

I think that Jack needs some guidance with the predatory media. Last night they were milking him for laughs and suggesting that they (Channel 7 Sports) needed to get him on another show. Jack looked ready to finish the interview but they persisted.....laughing at his expense as he gave honest, but perhaps naïve answers to their questions. Luke Darcy just could not get enough of it.

I'm feeling very protective of Jack Higgins and believe he needs a mentor to watch over him. Dusty could help him in keeping his answers brief.

agree.

I reckon our Higlet is on some kind of spectrum (arent we all?)

and the media's taking him for a bit of a ride.

Reckon the Club should shelter him for a bit, until he's confident enough to let it all through to the clichè keeper

the media are hynenas

Best part about Higlet that a lot of people are missing is that he is actually a midfielder rather than a specialist forward.

I expect him to follow a similar path to Lablett as he puts on some muscle. Good chance he'll be better.

Actually confused him for Lambett a couple of times. Love how they both hit stoppages at speed.

Don’t get me wrong, I think he will be a good player for us. He is a natural rover, reads the flight of the ball.

I have one concern which is he doesn’t look overly quick

My concern is how hard he has made his set shots look! His snap was obviously fine, but his two drop punt set shots looked like he was putting in everything he had to kick 35 metres.

Was he a player that struggled with the jam tin in the U/18's?

Love him, he gave us more than you can hope for from a 2nd gamer, but he will probably be unlucky again come selection for Sunday's game.

He has plenty pf zip ST. Do not ever worry about that.

I see a bit of Boomer in Higgo

As long as it's not the wanker bit.

I love the kid. I light up every time he goes near the ball. Was watching the game with my in laws who are from Western Sydney and didn't even know AFL existed. They thought I was having a fit when I went off after that first crumbing goal

Love this kid. He's a new family favourite and his interviews are candid and refreshing.

Good on him for finding his path through a different route and I'm glad that he's in Yellow and Black. That sort of work ethic and focus will take him a long way in his sporting career.

Every player has a different way of learning and a skilled coaching team (which we have), is able to impart information to a wide range of learners in a way that matches their needs.

This is one of the traits that has made Clarko such a great coach and is why Dimma is on the way to coaching immortality.

How good is it to be THAT club that wins a premiership and then drafts the kid who makes an immediate impact?

Get used to it. It's a lot easier to come in and look good from the start in a winning team.

They were talking about this on MMM today, and saying jump in and enjoy it before the media trainers get in and remove the candidness from his responses.

Darcy gave the example about Griffin playing against us, when he said we were fighting amongst each other on the field. Said he hadn't had media training, so he wasn't ready for the questions. Griffin got slammed subsequently, and avoided all media since. Let's hope our Jack doesn't have a simliar experience.

I cracked up laughing when he mentioned he and Nank listen to Hall & Oates pre game :rofl

Hall & Oates are a litmus test for whether someone has musical taste. They passed.
