Good. Has been excellent this year

Top 5 in the b&f

Amazing some around here wanted him delisted or traded after a bad run of form.

Very poor judges of talent.

Isn't alone in needing a decent performance in September.

Yep. Over the years plenty of Tiger players have been talked up in July and August and then go missing in September.

The test for Brandon and several others is still to come

Way too soft. Panics under heavy pressure ala FINALS.

Perfect Trade Bait at the end of the season.

Straight swap for McGovern at Adelaide or a late first rounder/early second rounder to cover for Naish bids.

why would we get a good young tall or a late 1st for a HBF who is way too soft and panics??

Well deserved, definatly getting the most out of his ability, been a critic at times , however playing career best footy and been a vital cog in the teams improvement.

He is no good but we would get a pick around 20 for him or an excellent player like McGovern

Essentially you are saying that the list managers are stupid but you know better

Did I say that?

I know it won't happen but that's my opinion.

I think he's a great runner who panics under pressure, nothing more.

I wouldn't be using our recruiters as a beacon especially given their history.

Although I will admit things have gotten better of late.

I have openly admitted many times his positive traits.

He is an elite runner and I have always accepted that.

My quibill is he is soft and he doesn't have any other qualities that stand out.

There are other players who could be moved on and some will be, come trade time.

Yes, it will be a sticking point if we do get rid of a player such as BEllis but in order to get something, you have to give something.

I see BEllis for McGovern as a HUGE plus, don't you?

I know its unlikely but I don't think its a stretch to be plausible.

Strange but reckon the turn around form of players like Bellis has been one of the reasons we are in the top 4 - I haven't seen him squib it and reckon when you have a first rounder playing career best form he should be a keeper.

I reckon your post is about 12 months old and could relate to many players last year - good to move on and just enjoy the season for what it is.

There is as article in the HS today, (blocked article), saying Tigers to keep Ellis but have a fight to keep Anthony Miles. Don't think we need to fight too hard on this one with Graham waiting in the wings. But hopefully it means someone out there might be willing to offer us something for him?

Couldn't agree more Yott

I am as worried about him coming into this season, but he seems to have improved his intensity and is going harder at contests. Reckon he would have been told to pull the finger out this year or he will find himself replaced in the 22. I think he has done just that.

The more attacking game plan would suit his strengths more too

I was talking about other clubs list managers paying so much for a player you consider soft. If he was truly soft there is no way he is worth a late first rounder or McGovern.

BEllis is not soft btw. It's another one of these myths that permeates these pages. He is not Luke Hodge but that isn't his role which is to mop up, run to contests and be the outlet to run and carry from Half back. In that role he has been very good in 2017, back to where he was 2-3 years ago when he was in the AA squad.

If you don't think he's worth a late first rounder, you must hold him in less esteem than I. It was just a suggestion anyway.

We could bounce back and forwards on this forever but that's fine, it's your opinion and I'll respect it even though I strongly disagree.
