Brandon Ellis

I met one of the homies a couple of weeks ago and we were discussing Brandon's form. I opined that Brandon had plateaued and was struggling to learn a new position in which he had to play orthodox football. And homeboy thought that Brandon was hopelessly a victim of his own bathwater and was just a realisation away from returning to champion form. And going right on with it.

I'm coming around to this bathwater theory.

He has gone from looking confused and lost to looking determined and confident. Loved his second half tonight.

Credit where it is due. A fortnight ago I wanted him dropped. Remarkable turnaround and playing great footy.

He's been pretty good all year bar 1 or 2 games.

Go get em Brandon :hihi

This is that AA squad form of just a few years ago that people seemed to erase from their minds.

Correct

All the posting about him not being able to play was just plain wrong. It's just straight game plan imo, he now looks aggressive, confident and attacking. For the past 3 years he looked hesitant and confused on the field.

It's not that we erased it, it's just the subsequent two years of crapness that tends to obscure that acheivement from our memory Carts. But if he keeps on this trajectory then all will be forgiven.

Last week's game was better. Thought he looked backwards a lot more this week but definitely seems to be getting hosojo back.
Same for mine, did get the hesitates n look backwards for the cheap escape a couple of times. Had enough space n time to think his way through then find good options. Still a fine game by Brandon, few more like that n he'll be right up where we all were hoping he'd get to a couple of years ago.

Might just need to consign pretty much everyone's 2016 season to the nightmare that we had to have bin, seems like almost everything at the club has stepped up a notch so far this year. Players actually taking the game on rather than trying protect n control everything safely.

Last couple of games have been a stark contrast desire and application wise imo. Could he have been told some home truths? Sometimes you start taking things for granted and need to be reminded.

As with Lambert, he's had two great runs in BM78 company. Let's hope they stand up in the black type stuff.
