Brandon Ellis

If Ellis gets dropped it will signal that real change is occurring at the selection table at RFC. I doubt it will happen either. Ellis is Hardwick's love child.

That linking role, is that when he handball-receives, lopes off and kicks a floater directly to the opposition half-back? Or when he runs round in a little circle and handballs it to a player who promptly gets mauled in a gang-tackle?

That what I see. Been horrible last few weeks.

one common theme in footy in recent years is debate about every teams bottom 6. and if those players are half decent, the team is considered to be contenders. in my humble opinion, Bellis is at the bottom rung of our bottom 6 and has been for 2 years. How he gets a game every week is beyond me, and his continued selection goes a long way towards explaining our problems. he's bigger protected species than Vickery ever was in his time at Tigerland.

A disappointing player, runs around like a headless chook. Lost count of the number of times I've seen him make zero effort to tackle etc. I cannot for the life of me understand how he gets a game week in week out. Would like to see him dropped this week season.

I'm a long time Ellis h8er, longer than most. But didn't he play on Greene? And wasn't Greene relatively quiet?

Astbury was on Greene a bit when Lobb was off. (thanks to dusty)

Although Astbury was on him when Greene got that goal of the ground in the square (trailing him by about 5m).

Not sure if Ellis spent much time on Greene.

I did see him marking Jeremey Cameron at one stage lol

If 1 goal 2 behinds and 3 goal assists is keeping him quiet, and he was on him, then yeah he kept him relatively quiet. But Ellis had 25 disposals so I very much doubt he was marking Greene very often.

I thought Greene cut us up in the last quarter in particular, whoever was playing on him.

17 touches and a goal is a quiet Greene game, love.

And 3 goal assists, his most for the season,. 17 touches is around average for Greene. It wasn't standout but wasn't quiet either.

Can't say that around these parts, Spook. Begone with ye.

This. I'm sure I saw Rance standing him a few times too.
Wouldn't attribute Greene's average game to Ellis.

That's the closest I'll come to sticking up for Brandon. As I said, I was a h8er long before these Johnny come latelys. ;D
