Brandon Ellis

He's not worth anything as a trade as most clubs will look at his tapes and recognise he offers little to a playing list. His best is past him and his trajectory is downward. The only hope for him at RFC is to go back to the VFL and learn some composure when he has the ball. I think IF he can do that he could come back to the ones as a useful player for us. Next week would be great time to start his re-programming.

his compass is wobbly. think it would be better seeing as tho he's a "watch designer".... precision and all that.

Maybe he needs to play on the equator where the magnetic force is weak?

Panic merchant without a defensive bone in his body.
Going backwards.
Must go back to the seconds for at least a month and learn how to win a hard ball.

Feel free to make a case instead of bizarre one-worders Bazzums. As I said, short passes under no pressure, Ellis usually hits a target. As for the rest, it's kick and hope, or a hospital handpass to someone under more pressure than he is.

Your boy's taking a real kicking on this thread, if you have an issue, speak up for him.

I wouldn't be against that, 17.

he's a bellwether for the team. needs to get his confidence back.

Oooooh. Castrated ram with a bell round it's neck leading the flock of sheep. Yep sounds like Tigerland at the moment.

I'm referring to the linking role he likes to play, TM. if the engine ain't purring, he doesn't look good. he's no one-on-one type.

That linking role, is that when he handball-receives, lopes off and kicks a floater directly to the opposition half-back? Or when he runs round in a little circle and handballs it to a player who promptly gets mauled in a gang-tackle?

Unfortunately the only purring I've been hearing lately are Brando's brain farts n they sound more like splatters than purring. Only looks good when we're dominant and everything's in cruise control, that aint been happening all that much in recent years.

I'm sick of hearing about his elite stamina as well. He runs like a steeplechaser - at the one pace! AFL is about speed to break away and speed to contests. How fast he is Ove 20m is more is more relevant to his role.

true enough. he's definitely better when the midfield is finding more of the ball.

plus, he hasn't been played on the wing, which is his best position IMHO.
