Hardwick has acknowledged it was a mistake

A lot of people on here managed to acknowledge that a couple of days before Dimma. And it wasn't just your usual trolls.

As for Benny, he should definitely stay. Spot at HF with his name on it, if he gets fitter.

It was a risk it didn't pay off. People are saying Lennon and Lloyd were in red hot form when they were anything but.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

I am surprised more of our young kids dont ask for a trade. Hardwick's treatment of young talent is deplorable.

If we lose him for nothing it will be pretty disappointing.

I'd prefer he stayed.

IF WE DO, WHO IS TO BLAME, SHOULD THERE BE A SACKING/RESIGNATION?

They weren't in red hot form, but they were still fitter than 2 blokes who hadn't played in months. Suicide playing unfit guys in finals.

Young players cop knocks early on. It's how they take it that defines them. He can make it work for him or he could slink off like a sook. FFS knock the door down don't expect it to be given to you on a platter.

Correct

Yes sack someone I we lose Lennon

Can't e losing 2nd year first rounders

So will sacking anyone do or is there someone specific in mind? If Lennon does leave we could sack Lennon, kill two birds with one stone that way.

Saves time and paperwork, everyone's happy. Win win.

NOT SUGGESTING IT BE SO...BUT HEY AS U SAID LOSING A 1ST ROUND PICK WITH PROMISE FOR NOTHING IN HIS 2ND YEAR..I NEED AN ANSWER,SOMETHING AND "BEING A GREEDY SELFISH sh!t DOES NOT QUANTIFY AS ANSWER".

MAN THE KNOCK ON HIM WAS HIS TANK, OUTSIDE OF THIS, HIS STRENGTH, KICK AND MARK IS OUTSTANDING, AND NOT WITH STANDING SEEMS TO HAVE THAT NATURAL FOOTBALLERS BRAIN (OUTSIDE OF WANTING TO LEAVE TO CARLTON)

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

god id be pissed off if we lost ben over that incomprehensible discision to drop him..kids full of promise...great kick ..great mark...a bruest type we need

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

When you see the coach favouring underperforming players while you languish in the twos and your fellow peers from the draft getting opportunities why wouldn't you look elsewhere?

Lennon has not languished in the 2s since midway through the way. Indeed making him earn his spot seemed to have a good effect on him.

I have said it's a crock once on this thread and I will say it again.

A crock

CEllis, Menadue, Drummond, Lambert, McBean all debuted this year. The one who showed more than a bit and stayed fit stayed in the team at the end.

Lennon played 9-10 games ( shouldn't have been dropped for the last one) , McIntosh played 23. Vlastuin is on his 3rd year, played virtually every game. Miles in his 2nd year, played virtually every game.

McDonough never got fit, Arnott not good enough. McBean did just ok when he played, Elton was poor at AFL level , so was Astbury early in the season

The two players who on form had the biggest case to play seniors were Thomas and Dea if we are honest.

Agree.
Lennon got a raw deal but most young players do. I think our development of young players has come on in leaps and bounds under Dimma.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

I really hope this is *smile*. Over 30 years ago we had Brian Taylor walk on out, 20 years ago Stuart Maxfield departed for more money, I know Lennon isn't in that calibre of players but it will be a loss and the club will regret it.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

I was told earlier this year he wanted out. Doesn't get on with Hardwick and wanted to go to Carlton. This apparently came from a Lennon family member. I didn't believe it coz I didn't think anyone in their right mind would consider going to Carlton lol.

Now I have no idea how reliable the source is but that's what was said. Time will tell I guess. I hope it's *smile* coz we can't afford to have players with his skill walk out the door.
