Ben Lennon

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

At $2, the Bertie Beetle showbag has always been the people's showbag. It didn't try to pretend to be something it wasn't. It was small because there was bugger all in there, which was fine if you were, say, an Amish kid pestering your dad in the Chamber of Commerce. He'd walk straight past the $7 Transformer bag but it was well within his means to shell out for the Bertie Beetle. In fact, it was so loved that a loyal public demanded that the showbag remain available even after standalone Berties disappeared from the market.

After watching footage of Ben I noticed that he likes to put on a bit of a show after a sausage, something that's bound to get The People involved. Our Bertie Beetle: The People's Showbag.

Precisely. No such largesse in the Bertie Bag. I don't even think you got a toy.

No toy required. 4 Bertie Beetles and a small pack of stale chips was enough to justify the $2 investment.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

I was chatting about Ben with a work colleague the other day who has worked with Ben a little through his school footy commitments. He said Ben would frequently attempt to hit up players with kicks his team mates did not even think were possible, and usually pull them off. A sublime kick of the footy by all reports.

Thank you for getting the conversation back onto his footy! ;)

Coming from a shallow draft, will this kid have the same impact that big V & Ellis had in there 1st year?

Unlikely, but I wouldn't totally discount it.

I think he might play 10 or so games.

Is he like that kid Harper from north?

He is genuinely dual sided yeah Linus? Our key forwards will hopefully get on the end of a few.

You'd have a better idea then I would. You've seen the same amount of Lennon as I have and more of Harper then me.

Yes but kicks on his non-preferred don't have the depth of his right boot. Still, when you set the benchmark at 65 metres, it's a pretty hard act to follow.

If has the same talent that Harper has I will be rapt.
I'm hoping that he is the 2014 version of N.Brown

Doubtful. There is more competition for spots now, especially with the recruiting of additional matures.
