In reality next season if grigg is still getting a game, and Richmond get some mature players in

Most those you mentioned will be playing reserves

Most? He only mentioned two and MacIntosh is already in the team. Take it to the bank C Ellis will be in the 22 every week he is fit too.

Nah

Wouldn't mind having a few $ on Lennon and C Ellis playing plenty of AFL footy next year.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

Was sub as part of a rotation with the younger players.

Smart.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

Just silk by foot and very, very good overhead.

When we're optimal in midfield this bloke can lurk in the pocket next to Jack and across from McJesus.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

Who needs Stevie J. He might be alright for a year like Chapman, but then what? If Geelong think he's too old for them, then he's too old for us too. This guy is the one who should play.

Absolutely spot on!
The idea is simply not worthy of serious consideration.

Stuff em. They didn't want to come over when they were in their prime, now they want a bit of superannuation from us.
More development into our kids. That's what expanded lists are for. My opinion anyway.

There are only 21 spots, on the team minus the sub

5-7 positions will be for key position players

Chances are deledio. Cotchin. Martin. Miles. Vlastiun. Edwards are beyond debate - the magnetics super glue onto the board.

You may also have players that have specific roles like lock down defenders; grimes. Bachelor. Hunt. Houli. At least a couple , one would expect will be in the plans

Assuming we bring in two mature; say trelor and yarren. That does not leave many spots to fit in all the 'kids'

Id rather get games into Corey ellis and Ben lennon.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

A choice between an aging player with at best a year left or a youngster who in previous weeks is really starting to show just how good he can be. No contest.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

How good is it that we are now in a position where
1. It seems all players want to play in front of the tiger army.
2. We now have a list that's so strong and balanced that we have first choice on who's available and agents are pestering our list managers.

In a year or 2 I suspect the RFC to be so strong that the AfL will alter its socialist system to bring Richmond back to the field

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

Stevie J has slowed considerably. Making a lot of mistakes, just don't see the point in recruiting him.

Great post. At his best Steve Johnson was a superstar no doubt but clearly in decline now. Should retire a 1 team player if he has any sense. It's a pass from me.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

Lennon looks really, really good. Worst thing we can do is put someone in the forward queue before him so he decides to leave for more "opportunities" elsewhere.

Even Lloyd is looking ok - he hasn't had that much time at afl level either - both could improve with another preseason. Lennon obviously has more upside but with a bit of improvement in both they will lock a position in the firsts down.

Its the midfield where we are getting hammered on the bad days. Treloar?

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

Just finished watching a replay of hawks game . Lennon was good because he was brave , willing to put himself in the contest , and his ability to win contests in the air or bring the ball to ground will prove invaluabe going forward . Also is a beautiful user by foot .
