Exactly where is the extortion? all I posted is that he refused to sign and four days later he gets selected I did not mention extortion blackmail or any of the kind.

But if you blokes want to interpret it that way then that is your problem.

Of course you didn't use the words blackmail or extortion.
But you kept pushing the same line over and over - that Lennon forced their hand. Here's another one (below).

The main reason he started getting a gig in the seniors was that he refused to sign a contract.

But you never tried to back it up with even a skerrick of evidence.
It was fanciful then - and still is.

Where at any stage antman did I claim that?

It seems that it is you who can't be trusted to accurately quote what other posters write.

yes it seems that it is I, detective inspector Clouseau, who has unmasked the scoundrel Lennon and his evil plot to take over the ME Bank Centre along with the Match Selection Panel and the caravan that sells hot jam donuts

Sorry got carried away a bit there

;D That pesky little Lennon!

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

Really good game last week.
Won some very good one on ones.
Opposition will have to respect and not zone off to double team (like they did with Morris).

Another cog in the team structure just fell into place

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

When he can double his possession count we will have a very good player. When he isn't kicking goals he will be setting them up.

Just watched the game again. Ben's kicks to Vickery and Riewoldt were absolutely elite.

Given our game plan relies on precise kicking, he and Corey are important inclusions even if they don't get a lot of the ball.

Wasn't it Lennon who passed to Brandon in the congested forward pocket at the Punt Rd end?

And who could forget Corey's pass to Lids in Freo?

I remember one of the players recently (maybe Grimes?) mentioning that the club has a focus on the quality of possessions rather than quantity, which reflects our recruiting in the last few years. Lennon and Ellis touching it 15-20 times a game would create some very dangerous play. Even Vlastuin to a lesser extent, who isn't that damaging by foot but positively impacts nearly every contest he's involved in. Better than having an accumulator gathering it 30 times and butchering it 15 of those.

You often reason with rocks? Might explain a thing or two ;D

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

He'll be the sub tomorrow night which sucks.

100% winning strike rate VS Adelaide with Lennon as sub at least.

Hope not, but it's hard to see anyone else except Hunt perhaps. At least Lennon is listed on the field. Plays taller, smart sharp kick, has a little bit of evasion about him (timing will improve with practice at this level).

Not named on the bench so highly doubt it.

If Lids doesn't make the side, the last bloke we'd want as sub would be Lennon. Obviously not in the same category as Lids, but the kids a mobile, strong marking, smart ball user with a silky kick and a similar size to Lids. Having neither available in our forward line would make us very pedestrian and predictable.

Yep. If Lids is out, it gives Beatle a great chance to step up.

Yeah yeah yeah!
Sorry, old fart couldn't resist the opportunity.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

Agree. Lids doesn't play Lennon to play that role.

Not as sub. Has to start on the ground.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

Bugger. The article earlier in the week about Lennon being like Lids? We knew Lids was under a cloud.

Lennon is the one who's getting his chance.

Good luck to the lad. He's combative when he turns it on.
