Oh gee his efforts are there. ;D

The term 'Battler' springs to mind when I hear that.

It's a step in the right direction at least.

I agree he'd wanna start adding to those efforts though, otherwise we may as well play Morris.

After watching the game a couple of times I get the feeling that Ben is not far off the pace. If anything he is trying too hard at the moment. He obviously has talent but he needs a decent block of time to find his niche in the firsts. I'm still confident that he will play some good footy for us.

I'm intrigued. How can you try too hard?

Let him play. Efforts are there.

Yep, I've been a massive critic of Ben, but at the very least now, his applying good defensive pressure, which he has been pathetic at over the last couple of years.

Think he should keep playing, deserves a good block of games to see if he can find some form in the ones

He really does look like he is trying this year so I'd give him more game time. If instead he carried over last years efforts he'd have already been McBeaned

Without a solid 2nd tall (Griff/Elton/Ty last year) he gets the 2nd best defender and I just dont think he has the game to regularly beat the opposition #2 back. Needs the #3 defender and one that allows him some freedom lead and take some marks. Maybe its just his persona but love to see him get a bit angry, bit of mongrel, show emotion when things dont go his way (not sook),,,,,

Most of us will be arm chair judges come Sunday evening (if he gets picked). Another so so performance with glimpses of good I dont think will get him into the Round 5 team. Huge game for him.

Goes quite well against the #9 defender.

no.3 defenders are guys like our D Grimes, Rampe, Yeo, Goldsack etc.
All of them are taller than Lennon and all are probably quicker.
our move to play just 2 tall forwards may be fatal for Lennon, at least when he was playing alongside 3 talls, there was a chance he would have a height and aerial advantage over his opponent. no he has lost that, and still doesnt have a speed or agility advantage.

Career in doubt after being dropped you'd think.

And so it should be. Was a bit ridiculous at times how much praise some of his 'efforts' that for others would have been merely expected.

He,ll return at some stage through the season but essentially it'll be over.
