Ben Lennon

Struggled in the first half to pick up the pace of the game. Was reasonable in the second half.
Same as Caddy pacewise which will be an issue for both of them.

Got into lets hope he can build fromhere.

If hes a confidence player hopefully he will build into and we will see more.

Definitely earned his place. He was very honest most of the game. (Probably knackered the others.) And hard at times. He ran the game out. Best game of his career so far.

Yep.

His effort is there which is nice to see and the way the players got around him after his set-shot goal shows he is earning their respect which only comes from hard work on the training track. They were really, really happy for him.

In a HF role with his athleticism he is going to be a low possession player so it is critical he can snag a contested mark or two and he must make the right decisions with the ball.

I don't know what he was doing passing to Martin in the last. No problem if he wants to share the ball but how he does not take 2 steps toward the boundary and handball back to Rioli inside who walks into goal is beyond me. Play worked out but turned an almost certain goal into a low risk play (saved by Martin's brilliance) that would have been in critical turnover territory.

Its not saying much, but yes, showed a bit.

Agree. There were genuine signs of what he could be, tonight. If he have held his marks could have kicked another two goals or so. But looked at home; best goal-kicking style/approach on the team.

Agree. Should have kicked the goal, I thought.

Got lucky with the kickout straight to him, but nailed the shot from a challenging angle. We really needed that it at the time, clutch goal. Still not convinced he's a longterm option but hope he can build on it.

yep. But I reckon if they had a grandfinal sprint for slow people, ben would lose it by 3 lengths

80 minutes of not much, 40 minutes of ok with a slice of good. Tried hard, honest effort (other than claiming Houli's goal).

Lennon Island.

Defs holds his spot.

When things got tight he did things that mattered.
