It's not pace that's the problem. He just can't play very well.

He has as much natural ability as anyone but his lack of athleticism kills him as can't get separation at any stage unlike his junior days where his size gave him a huge advantage over other kids. I have a bit to do with athletics through my kids and as I see it his only real hope is to drop 3-5 kgs and make it easier to get around the park. Being as heavy legged as he is is basically impossible to change....sadly.
