Some big wraps there from Cal, I think the most pressing issues for Lennon boiled down to athleticism.

3.20sec/20m - bottom 20%
standing vertical - bottom 10%
agility - bottom 5%
3km - bottom 25%

In other words, his vice like hands are nigh on useless if he can't get separation and/or outstretch his opponents. I'm racking my brain to come up with a comparable player and the best case scenario (unfortunately) is Kayne Pettifer.
Get David King back for a cameo coaching role, getting KP to play good football was his main claim to fame during his stay.

Has wanted to leave twice, but the dumb pricks hold onto him.
The Geelong last qtr was enough for me. Slow, lazy and basically another wasted top 20 pick to match the other 25

Lemon for sure best we coukd ask for is a orange

Wonder if the club could get Sexyland to be a player sponsor for Lennon? They're full of vibrancy too.

it must be all the xmas drinks and good times I have been having later ..............but I ( in part) agree with Zippadeee

esp the geelong last qtr comments .i was there on that shocking day ......................and he was gutless in that game ........I would love to see his GPS data for that game

The penny might have dropped for Benny.
Put himself up for offers & no takers thanks.
He must have thought to himself, Hmmmm what does that mean, maybe I'm not where I need to be. NO ONE WANTS ME. Time to extract the digit.

I have said it before that aside from Jack (and Lids before he left) Lennon has the best hands in the lead up marking contest at the club. His only role going forward imo is playing the medium lead up link forward and that requires us to play with 2 key forwards imo.

He has to get very fit and run and present time and time again. If he can get 12-15 possessions a game with his foot skills and nose for a goal he can contribute but he has to work really hard.

He has limitations but where his skills lie he is very talented and he has to learn to play his role and work harder than he has before. Pettifer was much maligned but he kicked 100 goals over a 3 year period and I would be happy for Ben to emulate that in the next 3 years.

Yes he has to work a lot of miles to drop his opponent and get separation, like Michael Pickering did.
But athletically and in style he is more like Bomber James.

Checked Quayle's top 25 for the year (most likely not draft prediction) and she had Lennon at 9 and the Bont at 11.

For Lennon you would have to say the axe is leaning against the chicken coop door. RFC still passing out monthly cheques on his potential. A good chance that he'll be gone as an AFL footballer if he can't ditch the attitude and find the athleticism and on-field intensity required. In all honesty maybe Jack Graham can take him in hand...understand his off the ball running is elite - actually now that I come to think about it we have a few that could afford to pick up that trait.

Lennon should play CHF. Has Phil Carman's persona, Rene Kink's endurance, Earl Spaldings mits, Wayne Carey's strut, Jimmy Jess' kicking ability, Lance Whitnall's tackling game and James Hird's height

Impressive. A mixture of Carman/kink/Spalding/Carey/Jess/Whitnall/Hird is a fine endorsement.

Benny could play anywhere really

With that sort of football pedigree, Lennon is sure to pick-up a couple of Brownlows during his vibrant footy career. He is going to be some player to watch on the future.

If he runs to form he will get some weird ass injury in tale Jan early feb that will give him another excuse not to play and will cry about Dimma not giving him a chance in june

Yeah thats right...should probably be captain/coach and play in the centre

Looks like Ben has been helping to write Peggy's columns. From her latest..

I would like to know if the faded jumper issue will be fixed for the 2017 season?
I know some supporters were concerned by the colours of our jumper in recent seasons. I can assure you that our new apparel partner Puma will provide our players and fans with a vibrant yellow and black jumper for the 2017 season and beyond
