Ben Lennon

I wonder if he'll find a printout of his "interview" stuck to his locker door when he turns up for training.

He does have some AFL attributes, being a nice kick and a decent mark for his size.

Is that enough to overcome his shortcomings? We'll find out in 2017.

Keep on punching Benny. Fortune favours the brave.

I'm cutting him some slack. Had no preseason due to glandular fever. Very hard to make an impact from this in the same year. Hoping for a big preseason.

Is vibrancy an AFL attribute? If so he's set.

Despite the ribbing he has copped on here, I hope he puts in the hard work and makes some posters eat their words. Big pre season and there are major opportunities in our forward line to be taken.

Indeed. Will be crying out for another goal kicker next season. Prove us wrong Ben!

He may now find himself delisted and picked up again as a Rookie. Pressuring the club last year means that he has a contract that is not commensurate with his value to the team.

This has been a fair old kick up the proverbial and a very good life lesson for him. Hopefully, he works a bit harder from now on.

Glandular fever is actually quite debilitating particularly for his age. He has had excuses. But there are no more excuses.

Hope you are right Harry, he did have a negative start. Sadly probably needs a change of scenery although probably lucky he did not wind up at Carlton

I think with all the changes being made which also include selection committee he will be given a good run at it for Lids role, lets see, its really up to him, if he sooks it up over preseason id imagine he will be left out, if he has a crack then irrespective of Dimmas thoughts the new coaches will have enough votes in selection committee to push him to be played, interesting space

The kid has the tools to be a very good player, he just needs to pull his finger out and stop blaming everyone else for the hole he is in. Good things happen to those that work hard and hopefully that is what the coaches are conveying to him.

With lids leaving he would be the perfect replacement as a high lead up HF, got a decent set of hands and can use it when he gets it. Good to know that he is working on his running as he will need it if he is to succeed at this position.

This could be his big chance, if he wants it enough and he works hard enough.

I think for now we need to give the kid a bit of break.
