Not a gig but felt the need to write this....
Rockwiz are playing ‘best ofs’ on Saturday nights atm on SBS.
Saturday night had re-run of Tina Arena and Jeff Martin (The Tea Party) singing duet of Don’t Give Up.
In the words of Molly Meldrum do yourself a favour and check the Rockwiz website.
Has that duet and heaps of others.
Tina and Jeff unbelievably good.
Also great Broderick Smith and Patience Hodgson singing a Nine Inch Nails song.

P.S. Off to the Corner tonight for a Royal Crown Revue show. Mate's fave band, me, not so much, but should be alright.

Just got back from Queens Of The Stone Age @ The Palace Theatre...& they were as mind blowing as always...

Just a little plug for me mates band, Loon Lake will release there EP at the Ding Dong Lounge on June 3....huge night ahead ;D

Band of Horses touring in November with Kings of Leon. Catch them if you get the chance. Last years set at Splendour was the best I have seen. Amazing set, great sound and a ton of energy/charisma. Check them out.

Will hopefully announce some side shows

All I've seen are the Rod Laver shows....pass.

Saw them at Meredith or Golden Plains a few years ago after their debut album, saw them at Billboards and last year at the Palace.

Great live show.

Golden Plains these days. Better time of year and generally better line up. It's my annual festival now (yes I'm getting old). It was one of the best this year...not necessarily musically...but 'the vibe' was great.

Been to many MMFs over the years. Spent my 21st at the MMF when it was at the old venue in the mid 90s. Good times.

The 21st Meredith Music Festival line up was announced yesterday. Looks awesome and with a total lunar eclipse on the Saturday night to boot!

The last great gig I went to was a 1930's styled jazz band that play like the old Melbourne legendary jazz band The Red Onions.

Flap at Bennet's Lane.

Girl singer on banjo,trumpet,trombone,double bass,drums.

Fantastic band.

Nice folk too.

I usually have a talk after 5 pints.

Gerry Humphries,the singer of The Loved Ones was in The Red Onions beforehand and played clarinet in the band.

Going to see The Celibate Rifles at The Tote next week.

Their gigs never disappoint.

Very similar to the Oils energy.

An Australian institution.

A friend from my 80's metal days is playing tonight in Tigerland.

Thrash metal bill at The Central Club.

His band is Toecutter.

I stumbled upon this metal gathering a few weeks ago after a Richmond game.

I remember seeing Angry Anderson way back in the 80's at the same venue.

Heard Guitar Wolf are touring in December, may have to come out of my hermit cave.
