Basketball

Jimmy B conquers the Celtics. Heck of an effort for 8th to beat 1st.

Celtics were 2 seed. But the Heat did beat 1 seed Bucks in first round so all credit to them.

Disappointing from the Celtics but unfortunately a bit predictable and typical of their season. Inconsistent performances and always having to come from behind in a 7 game series has taken its toll; were 3-2 down against Philly as well.

2 years in a row they've fallen short. Too many players make too many mistakes at critical phases. Turnovers kill them. Need to make changes to get over the line; just not sure what they are..............

Well done Heat. Celtics just too many errors. Not helped by Tatum rolling his ankle early.

Just another reason I barely watch NBA anymore, the Celtics put up more 3 pointers than they did 2 pointers in game 7, just ridiculous

Jeez some NBA players take staging to new levels at times.

Porter stays down after some contact and costs his team an easy bucket. Yeh he got contacted but seriously that was pissweak. I bet he doesn't stop playing this game.

Heat gassed? Looked like it. Hope they can recover to make this finals series a contest. Not counting on it though.

Joker the greatest Euro ever? Probably. Might even take the mantle as the greatest international ever. I could see him eclipsing Duncan and Dirk.

A friend's son follows the NBA. He sure does it differently though. He espouses conspiracy theories from social media about players' origins like he's quoting stats. Jimmy Buckets is the son of Michael Jordan and Michael Porter Jr is the son of Wilt Chamberlain (well, there's gotta be a few of those getting about given the Stilts impressive portfolio). I'm just fascinated at how differently young people source and absorb information.

Jokic - like watching some maestro conduct an orchestra. He controls so much of the offensive movement. So many options are created when he gets involved. His teammates must love him. Gotta be the smartest big to have ever played?

Bogut was a superior passer but Jokic is on another level.

Oh - I would give a lot to see that matchup. Jokic v Bogut. They might just break out into a chess game mid-match.

Jokic is jumbo sized Larry Bird.

Jeez what a start to Game 2. Some great shooting from both sides but Heat cannot stop the Nuggets after having a decent early lead.

Hard to see how Miami stop this offence. And they cannot get any easy looks themselves.

Well that was a good prediction.

Go Miami.
