Bachar Houli - بشار حولي,

Playing VFL would be ideal but he doesn’t need a spot on the AFL playing list
I'm not sure if there is soft cap governance over the VFL or a Salary Cap. But I trust Bacher and the club to do what's best for everyone

Bach said to the ABC that he wants to go on but understands the club has to balance a lot of things before making a decision. He's a champ.

Bacha will know if he stays and continues to get senior games it will push out one of Stack, D.Rioli, and or Mansell especially if Short isn't traded. The club's list ain't gettin' any younger and needs to blood youngsters

All good teams face these tough decisions. But he really shouldn't be playing next year.

Agree, has been a great of the club, but him playing on can't be justified, played 13 games last year and 12 this year.

Since when was Short being traded? Gee people come up with complete horseshit on this forum.

Yeah it's time to move on. He's a Tiger champ but he is 34 next May and the body is letting him down too much.

Great news to hear Bachar is keen to play on!

He’s a running machine who should maintain elite endurance well into his late 30’s.

- Champion bloke
- Good recent form
- No major injury history

No-brainer for me. Doesn’t need to play 25 games to be a positive influence on the club’s ambitions over the next few years.

Said on Triple M he absolutely wants to play on next year. I'm genuinely surprised.

This is the first challenge of list management we face. The Daniel Rioli experiment looking like a success or at least something that needs to be perceived with next year, Sydney Stack looking like he can be an elite talent, means that Bash needs to be gently persuaded to walk away. Time to walk away.

Tiger legend. Totally unique Tiger with a story that will never be repeated. Someone who can move into our front office, lobby government and have real influence in the community.

Unfortunately at Bachar’s age, achilles and calf injuries are major

Happy to keep Bachar on the list as a great role model and development “coach” but make him aware that he will not be first choice and may only play half a dozen games at AFL level. At VFL he can really help the kids. All on minimum wage. One way around the soft cap.

Difficult to fit him into the back six now. After this season we need to play Stack, Rioli & Short ahead of him. If he's re-signed it should probably be on a low base and on the understanding that he's a reserve.

Depends on the numbers in/out.
