Exactly what would have Bachar done on Friday night that would have helped us?

In case you didn't notice Port shut down the space and hence our runners struggled.

Noah Balta has natural small game. Not to say he'd replace Bachar one day but he is timely and wins loose. Oleg is a tall. He has no small game. And frankly doesn't run enough.

We have to nurse Bachar because there is no replacement as yet. To be fair Houlis don't grow on trees. Shorty is the one who is levelling up but lacks the class at this stage. Menadue - no.

Shai might be the one. Fly is stretching his game right now.

There is possibly one dark horse Jack .... Dekka Smith

Hopefully his shin splints (i think thats his issue) come good soon and he gets on the park.

Bachar would have made no difference to the result.
Besides this will be his last year.
Time to pencil in his replacement.

We’ve drafted replacements in Menadue & Markov.

Neither have come on. We are desperate for this type.

What has happened to Markov? He was probably player 23 through last year's finals.

He had an interrupted preseason with injury and then got injured a few weeks back.

Tigger and Short are able to cover for Bash.

The Tigers need spark and pace and pressure back on the park, up front and through the middle.

Dusty, Dion and Dan are the 3 players the side is in need of return.

Luckily 2 of those 3 will return this week.

Disagree Craig, tigger doesn’t provide run and carry. Prefers to be able to watch the play unfold infront of him and react.

Actually plays his role better when Houli is there. We desperately need someone else besides Short providing that ran and carry. He can’t come back quick enough.

Swan Jake Lloyd out of contract. Be a good get. very good foot skills and decision maker. plays a similar role to Houli and wouldn't be asking for huge dollars for a move home to Vic....

not sure how many km's he covered last night. but i'd say it would be similar to Gaff. who is an elite runner.
fair to say he'd be leading Sydney's 2018 B & F after last nights game.
so if he wanted to come to us; it might cost us a bit in picks/players?
worth it imho though.

Unfortunately a very hard task getting established Swannies to move. From memory Mitchell was the last top player to move however he probably would have stayed if he had got a better offer. He was expendable as they had plenty of cover without allowing Florent to come on. Much harder task shifting Lloyd IMO as there is no obvious fillers and he wouldn't come cheap.
