Bachar Houli - بشار حولي,

Re: Bachar "The Nice Guy" Houli

I can see another AFL appeal coming on ! :rofl

Wonder who will sit on the first tribunal :)

Re: Bachar "The Nice Guy" Houli

Bugg is going to need a character reference from someone as holy as Cardinal Pell to get off this charge lightly.

The mark has been set by Bachar. 4 weeks for a good bloke who was looking the other week. How many for a full blown *smile* who was looking at him while throwing a cheap punch. Any less than 6 weeks and its a disgrace and further underlines the corruption of the AFL
Houli turned and looked.

I love that this has happened. Firstly, Mills is a tosser and secondly Bugg is a bigger tosser. All that's missing is the biscuit!

So let's line these two incidents up.

Houli has been in the game for over a decade with a totally clean record.
Bugg for half the time with a filthy record.

Houli is trying to run on to create play, and in an attempt to break an illegal hold, is unfortunate enough to hit the sweet spot on Lamb's head, which quite possibly has more sweet spots than your nan's Pavalova.
Bugg is in a push and shove match with Mills for the first 5 mins of the game, and then makes a decision to punch him in the jaw. No suggestion of either player trying to get involved in the play.

Play both videos in normal time and Houli has very little time to assess the situation. He's just trying to run on and in a split second decision swings an arm back.
Bugg and Mills are testing their strength (a bout as anticipated as Goldy Locks vs Shirly Temple). Bugg has time to consider how far he's going to take things and decides to throw a hook to the jaw.

If Houli's is worth 4, then Bugg has to be looking at a minimum of 6.

This is where the AFL's "manifestly inadequate" stane on Houli will be seen for what it really is, a knee jerk reaction to te media circus.

If he get's the same as Houli then the AFL is absolutely kidding itself, and might as well bring the biscuit and join the two tossers.

That's my take regardless of what the schizophrenic banana might think.

Great summary bellboy. The banana has lost his skin.

Re: Bachar "The Nice Guy" Houli

Sick of reading how Houli got him with an elbow, not even close was the fleshy bit of the palm just got him flush and dropped him like a sack of spuds

yeah. Bottom line though, you can't get too rational and logical with the MRP/ Tribunal. Routinely throws up head scratchers, which is why the unprecedented appeal was manifestly wrong, reactive and dumb.

But if you do try and calibrate Bugg's: Calibrated with Houli: 5 or 6 (wasn't knocked out cold otherwise 6 or 7, dumb but there it is). Calibrated with Lewis: 3.

Look more like the bone side of the forearm.

Re: Bachar "The Nice Guy" Houli

If his name was Barry Hooley I reckon he would have gotten 3 weeks from the MRP and that would have been it.

Of course he knew Lamb was there, the bloke was clinging on like a parasite FFS. Very possible he looked around to see who it was, or was looking for an umpire.

Houli's was a very natural reaction to being held in a game of football.
