Bachar Houli - بشار حولي,

Yep Bruuuuce is coming along nicely, uses the ball well & is starting to show why the Tiges went after him. That loooong goal he slotted was pretty to watch.

Well done Bachar, just keep improving.

For his first year at Tigerland, an excellent job.

Fits right in. Plays a very important rebounding role.

Kicking is a treat to watch.

Just watched the game again, there were so many highlights
but that goal from outside fifty in the first from Bachar was my fav! More please!!

Newman Mk2. Onya Houli ! :clap
Will need to improve overhead and in contested situations to match Newman but is equally good with ball in hand.

Hmmm, let me think.

Could leysy have been a but harsh in him. ;D

Continues to grow.

;D

Nice to hear. He had the tools to be an asset to us, and he is showing it.

When he gets the ball on the run, it is generally resulting in very special things.

Bachar's outside game has improved immensely at Richmond. That's a huge moment.

But tonight his work in the contests was often poor. He's been better recently.

Agree. Nit picking given his positive contributions but that contest in the 2nd qtr with Ballantyne where Houli gave up position and then went to ground when they met the ball and Ballantyne went on to kick the goal was frustrating.
This is the sort of stuff that loses you games, he needs to be reminded to stay on his feet and not take the soft option of going to ground.

you do get mistakes from 30 game players

The commentators on Fox expressed their suprise that the Bombers let him go for nothing.

He must be looking good if even those twits manage to state the bleeding obvious.

Yes, but going to ground is not a "mistake".

Houli has been very good the last 2 games, and overall the club would be wrapt with his performances, but going to ground in contests is not an error of inexperience.

It is good to see this perspective. I was more concerned when Pets and Tivva struggled to win 1-1s after 100 games of AFL footy. Bachar plays his role well and will get better with experience and confidence.

The most important comment here is you are nit picking. Houli has been seriously good this year. Are we a better team with him in or with him out. I say the former. Exactly the outside elite ball deliverer we've sadly needed. Every team has them.

Going to ground is the easy option, feign an effort and fall over. Don't know why you would think it is a "mistake". It's not a skill error its a choice. The contest where he did it in the 2nd with ballantyne cost a goal. As I said it is nit picking but this is the weakest part of his game that I hope he is working on because his offensive game has been very good.
