Twenty minutes into the third quarter there was a boundary throw-in on the Medallion Club wing. Gus is in position with no opposing ruckman. Goldstein is sprinting towards Gus, probably just off the interchange bench. As he gets within twenty metres Gus spots him from the corner of his eye and takes his eye off the ball. Goldstein might just make the throw-in. Gus looks back at the ball but as it comes in he looks again at Goldstein and misses the ball completely.
Saw that, he was definitely worrying about contact.

At no other club would a player as soft & limited as Gus survived 6 years.

Even more amazing is that supporters held out hope even to his last few years.

At last it is over as we welcome a new ruck era.

Goodbye Gus.

I hope you are right Leysy. I don't think I could watch another year of Gus impersonating a ruckman.

Did we tank tonight?

Vickery slaughtering it in the ruck and around the ground fist 5 minutes of the last, we draw level and then he is summarily banished not to ruck again for the match.

Angus has to go, do they make blinkers like the racehorses wear for footballers, as i cannot recall tonight Angus looking at the ball at one ruck contest, no m/ship for me next year if he is still there, sorry but we cannot move forward playing him with the onball talent we have

Yeah thought Rance had one of lesser games tonight. Petrie is a pretty good player.

And he had the entire forward 50 to himself half the night. The space we gave them didn't help any of our defenders.

By product of the press. Had 30 players in out forward half for most of the game.

nah just rotations.

Ty Vickery is the first player on the list that I would clone

I got this guy wrong despite advice from keen students of the game. He is a jib and a bludger, not worth four bob and should be delisted if there is no trade.

I would rather Mitch Morton in the ruck.
