He almost killed someone.

Lucky he is even out of jail.
interesting isn't it. It does appear he has reformed and dedicated himself to his career and family. That is hard to fault. But I do find it sad that the victim gets completely overlooked.

I find it hard to support Collingwood or anything associated with them. Krak isn't a Tiger no more so don't really care. Him and Neon will go close to WOG. Didn't even realise he was still in the 22.

You couldn't put Bryan Wood in that category--a true champion-many rated him Keith Greigs equal--followed his career (slowly in decline) at Essendon-and was wrapped to see him win another flag( with Sheeds) at Essendon!!

Agree mate. One of the best wingmen to pull on the yellow and black. Geez the 80's still hurt.

Krakouer always had ability but went missing far too often at Richmond. Now he is afforded that luxury at the scum so whatever...

While I agree in a broad sense that the victim gets overlooked in the courts. I think this was more a case that he won the fight - it was a long running family feud. That doesn't condone his actions by any means but the other guy was no "babe in the woods" either.

Took his football seriously after jail time and got fit enough to make the most of his ability.
But he was a spud when he played for us.

Hope he doesn't win a flag.

Theissen was cut, went back to the SANFL and was a mature-age recruit for the Crows.

Krakouer struggled with us because he is a burst player with no stamina. We got frustrated that he drifted in and out of games and couldn't spend more than 5 minutes in the midfield. We lost patience.

Since then interchange rotations have gone through the roof.

Now he is succeeding for them for the same reasons he failed for us. Being a burst player who plays 5 minutes at a time.

Your are onto something here.

Player Krak was very good when he was around the ball, but couldn't get around the ball often enough. Didn't have sufficient pace or stamina.

Now the rotations make his weaknesses less important. Probably the forward press and the congestion inside 50m also help his game. He's willing to tackle, he can find the ball, and he can kick a goal under those conditions. Which are much more prevalent than they were 5 years ago.

Plus he's probably knuckled down and worked harder.

But today's game suits him better than when he was playing for us.

Fits in well down at the Pies, for more reasons then just his game style :police: The "bad boy come good" story makes me want to spew up, and I am sick of seeing/hearing it.

IIRC he was dumped by the tigers due to his almost certain jail time, glad to see he is making a go of his second chance but I could care less about both him and the Big :donut today. I just hope the game is tight and tough, a part of me hopes the Pies win to see how Bucks deals with the pressure next year as the Ferals will all but expect a 3-peat.

Yep, 100% correct!

Stuff Andrew Smacker, stuff Collingwood.

my hatred for collingwood far outweighs any feeling i may have for a former tiger. hope anyone wearing black and white today gets smashed

As you say the change in game has helped. 1 year for us he was top-10 in the league for tackles despite being mostly a forward. Back then; big deal! But now, well King survives on tackling in the forward-50 and Krakouer is better at it than him.

Sometimes the changes knock blokes out of the league, sometimes they help. The change to breaking zones by a long kick to a FF has saved Hawkins and given Pods a run. 6 years ago people were concerned that those types were going out of the game because no one kicked long anymore and wanted a Franklin who could get 25 touches and play wing too.

The sub-rule is awesome for Vickery but the death of Graham who can only be a back-up ruck type.

KraKs is lucky he's been able to coast all year in a top side where his lack of consistency isn't as exposed as much. That's all I'll say.

Good luck to him but just found it cringeworthy how the media have banged on constantly about what a great year he's had. No doubt a great story though. Wouldn't want him back at Richmond.

I wish Andrew Krakouer all the very best.

To sink to life's lows then rise again ....

I take my hat off to you Andrew. Hope you have a great day.

Posted on the Krak thread that I'll be cheering for him when he gets his GF Medallion but gee I was kind off hoping it was for us and not the filth.

BTW Claw, you really were full of it

Don't think he's had 1 single kick in the 2nd half. Backs up what I was saying.
