Last touch out of bounds doesn't work.
Frustrating seeing a defender sprint to a contest, make the spoil only to see it go out of bounds.
Free kick to the forward who gets a shot on goal.
What's the point in trying to spoil?

Zooper goal, like to see that closer to goal.
Maybe if you have a shot within 10 meters you get 10 points.
Bring the game closer to goal.
Seeing players pinging it 40+ out is a bit ho-hum,

I was thinking the same thing, a shocking rule for our game.
 
Aflx is a bit like a zooper dooper itself.

Fun and sweet at the start but boring and flavourless by the end!!
 
Ok, i will the give the gimmick a pass. Happy to watch it in the preseason. Good way to see some young players. Have played in a comp overseas where we played two teams with whoever turned up. Sometimes we had only 12 players a side but still enjoyable.

I wouldn't be wasting too many $s on the concept.
 
Finally got to have a view. I reckon this’ll be a short lived experiment.
 
Short Lloyd and moore nothing more then back up
Castagna looks super fit same as Bulter
Broad looks good also
Ballter the best of the kids

We lost to Brisbane!
No chance for back to back premierships now.
 
Must have kept a few on the bench - didn't recall seeing Miller, Ellis or Chol. Higgins did some good things, but Baker didn't get it much. Nice goal from Balta, glad to see him back his strengths from that distance and nail it. Pity the commentary were talking to Rich while he did it and lost any impact of the effort.

Baker chose to handball every time so a bit disappointed we didn't get to see what his kicking was like. He seems very light, had no real strength in his tackles so he'll take a while I reckon.

Miller, Chol and C Ellis stayed back in Melb and played in the intra club game this morning.
 
having a look at the Tiges made it more interesting but that's it. Conca has class. George looked good.
 
Brisbane won the GF.
They knocked us off and the swans
They'll have to be premiership fav this seasons
 
Why were Short’s and Moore’s goals from outside 40m late in the first half not considered zooper goals?

Good question when they clearly were.

We were 1 pt up late in the game and they gave us an additional 8 pts to make up for the missed super goals.

Was amateur hour...pretty sure Leppa protested to the ump/officials
