After looking at this weeks games and weather forcasts i would have to say that these are looking good....rain all friday, sat in melbourne will mean a low scoring scrap at the G and freo will struggle against crows to score

pray that carlton put up a little fight at subi

23132 120 PORT ADELAIDE-RICHMOND
23134 195 PORT ADELAIDE-SYDNEY
23126 72 PORT ADELAIDE-FREMANTLE

23534 48 WEST COAST-SYDNEY
23532 30 WEST COAST-RICHMOND
23526 18 WEST COAST-FREMANTLE

22726 54 GEELONG-FREMANTLE
22734 145 GEELONG-SYDNEY
22732 90 GEELONG-RICHMOND

$45 may be worth it this week...

Good analysis impact. We'll review on Friday when the weather may be more accurate. Could be right about the Blues, West Coast wont other tightening the game up. Could be a free for all say 180 - 70 which would mean another game will sneak in as the low. ONly concern could be Carlton stacking the backline to minimise damage but they are just plain putrid so Coasters could overcome this anyway I guess.

NOt sure about the Power. still not convinced and the pies games are generally reasonably tight. THe pies backline is ok.

Tend to go more with the cats though, against the other team to drop the ball - the hawks. Can't take the tigers as the low, just can't do it. So maybe the swans.

So I reckon Coasters and Cats for the high, and look to other games for the low. Adel and Freo perhap. All other games look reasonable chances to be high.

My summary

High Coasters, Cats
Low Crows, Freo and Swans

couldnt agree more there

crows if it were wet would be the low of the year if it came off....

p.s - i hope the swans battle

looking at the weather and other factors i would have to say either richmond, sydney (weather swans are scrappy, tigers are struggling atm) and/or freo (form but getting some players back this week will make a difference) for LOW i think geelong (cats will come good getting some players back...look what happened to hawks last week and they have no hodge) or west coast (looking good and carlton are struggling but dont think they will be lows)

it was pooring down in brisbane today - flooding...but it will dry out by sat night me thinks...no highs or lows..

here are the current odds for them:

23534 48 WEST COAST-SYDNEY
23532 30 WEST COAST-RICHMOND
23526 18 WEST COAST-FREMANTLE

22734 145 GEELONG-SYDNE
22732 90 GEELONG-RICHMOND
22726 54 GEELONG-FREMANTLE

Of those I like, for value West Coast - Syd, Gee - Syd and Gee - Freo.

does it look like raining in melbourne anyone??? the weather forecast says showers today and tommorrow

It's not at the moment, but certainly looks like it could Impact,

The forecast is certainly forecast for rain,.

I have a Collingwood under 39 going with a Richmond under 39 parlay.

Go tiges.

Nice bet evo...

I had Tiges by 15+... so didnt get up there..

Also Petifer for the first goal.... and what does he do.. hit the post lol...

BUT... the Storm got me home, had them to win by 13+ which they did easy.. so onya storm!

Thought I'd better bring this thread back up,

Whats the punters thoughts on the Ashes series??, cricket is prob my fav sport to punt on & Leysy thinks there will some great betting opportunities.

for those with a betfair acc, keep your eye on the draw for the 1st test, it is currently at $2.75.

IMO this should be around 5 or 6/1, both teams strengths lie in the bowling & Aus very rarely draw. I will wait till closer to the match re weather etc, but laying this looks a great bet.

When we get closer to the 1st test will elaborate further, but there looks to be some excellent bets laying a couple of batsmen to fail during the series, namely Trescothick & Michael Clarke. will prob use betfair or a spreadbetting bookie for these.

whats everyone's thoughts on the footy this week? I havent had a great look yet, but early thoughts are that I like Sydney to beat Geelong at aorund $1.90, & think the dogs may be a good value bet to roll Freo @ $3.00

Hard to see value this week.I'm out of ideas.

Where's impact.

Very astute punter that evo, and so good looking to boot. Rare as a chick betting on the dishlickers.

Like the Poms tonight. The two teams are even in the one dayers so back the value. IMO, Aussies will pump in the tests.

Good advice too leysy re the draw. Never back the draw when the Aussies ar playing though a check of the weather forecast will be required.

Haven't studied the footy yet. Will look for some high lows again. Perhaps Brisbane to kick the sweep. I'm sure impact will be along shortly with his concise summary.

lol jb ive had a look at this week and looked at past matches ect ect but im still wounded from last week....

Possible Highs Brisbane, & Port, west coast

Possible Lows: syd, cats, Bombers, hawks, tigers

I'd bank rich v bombers to be low scoring in the rain...
Syd geelong will be similar
hawks as always will feature

If west coast turn up to play they will role kangas and same with port

i'd go west coast and port as high's and bombers, tigers, sydney, geelong as lows for better money...

23134 145 PORT ADELAIDE-SYDNEY
23132 225 PORT ADELAIDE-RICHMOND
23127 145 PORT ADELAIDE-GEELONG
23125 210 PORT ADELAIDE-ESSENDON

23532 155 WEST COAST-RICHMOND
23527 100 WEST COAST-GEELONG
23534 100 WEST COAST-SYDNEY
23525 145 WEST COAST-ESSENDON

Others bets

L Hayes for most disposals for the round at $ tba

J Bowden for most disposals against bombers

hard round to get this week

Hi-Low i like Freo-Melb $105
Freo-Syd $90

Great odds if you can snag one of them. I'm a fan of the 1st goalkicker & Most disposals. In the NRL if you want a real rough bet with an decent chance go hi-low with Penrith - Cronulla $310 it's half a chance i'll have a little nibble at those odds.

I have a feeling tonight's game is going to be high scoring, so I will have a bet on both team's combined score to be 221+. It's paying $3.50. Both the Kangaroos and West Coast have had some high scoring games this season and at TD it should be high scoring.

Think I'll take a piece of that too Mainlandy. Gives some interest for the entrie game. Nice and cashed up after the poms got up for me last night.
